I was on the surface surviving quite nicely in my little bunker at the end, sans any backstabbing.

That was ridiculously fun. Thanks to the 6 stalwart adventurers who embarked with me on the 404 challenge, and a special thanks to Phantom for hosting the map for everyone! We have to do that again sometime. Video link here, for any who missed it.

Oh great... I hope future employers don't look up my first name and former email address on Google now. >_<;

Has anyone given thought to possible Multiplayer Minecraft Adventures involving the forumites? We briefly discussed making a "Shadows of Israphel" style adventure for streaming and putting on the Youtube, but we'd need to gather ideas, and get a crew to make maps and such. If we can come up with a solid proposal, we could see about posting it in the MC thread, and getting folks involved. What do you guys think?

Anywho, I'm trying to upload my backup of part 3 now. It should appear in the log in the future. It's gotten to the point that I ought to make a list of links to favorite videos on the original post, huh?

How did the rest of the adventure go after I lagged out?

FUN.

We tried to do a last trek through the Nether, killing pigs, dodging fireballs, and collecting shrooms.
Then, we built another portal, through which we escaped to the North Pole. Except we lost Phantom, so Soli and I had to go back in and get him.

When we got out again DreadedChairman had boobytrapped the exit with burning netherrack and blocks of dirt, the bastard.

A Detailed Summary of the Post-Nether Expedition:
We escaped The Nether, licked our wounds, and gathered supplies and Obsidian. We then made a last desperate charge into and through the Nether, and crossed leagues of hell, climbing high enough to make a portal to escape the underground. Phantom was left behind, Darvi was incinerated (he got better), and alway and DreadedChairman furiously made a portal, while I danced around to distract some Ghasts. Then, just as Alway got through the finished portal, and as I looked into it, the server crashed and I got a 404 error. It was probably the best end I never would have predicted, given the name of the challenge map.

As an epilogue, we relogged in, escaped to the surface (only to find ourselves in the middle of a frozen ocean), dealt with some attempted betrayal by DreadedChairman (who sabotauged the portal), and then repaired the portal and dove back through the Nether to rescue Phantom. The 8 cookies me and MoM recovered from the Dungeons saved his life, as he slew Ghasts with the Diamond Blade, and caught fire a few times. Then, Dreadedchairman tried to incinerate us as we exited the portal, I dove into the ocean to survive, and sacrificed my last life chasing him off into the wilderness, pursued by creepers, zombies, and skeletons.

BTW, does anyone know who invited DreadedChairman, and/or how he got onto the server? He was pretty fun, but apparently he isn't a part of the forum?
