Ah hah, found it. Turns out that was part 3 of the Super Mario Bros X video series. Found a download on a site that's only mildly sketchy, too.

Eh, actually that download didn't work. At least I know what I'm looking for, but the problem seems to be that it's old and isn't around much.

But comment section of a random joystiq article to the rescue with a megaupload link. They also point out that the title of the game is a little awkward when said out loud.

Yeah, Super Mario Bros. X was given the "cease and desist" treatment from Nintendo (a real shame, if you ask me), so they took it down from their website. I used the Wayback Machine to find a copy a year or two ago. Send me a PM or Email if you have more questions about where you could obtain the version I got. You can still find many of the custom worlds people have designed for it too; I tracked down a few of the highest-rated ones for future playin'.

And yeah, every time I said it out loud during that LP, I took special care to insert a pause, or say "Brothers" instead of "Bros". :P

As far as I know the takedown notice was bull, and the commonly belived excuse was he was sick of working on it and paying for the webspace it was on actually.

I'm not sure if that's the truth but it's what's being said a lot. It's also on CNETs download.com which makes the takedown seem kinda... Fake.

So guys, I know we have to watch Mysterious Cities of Gold, and Part 2 of the Hogfather, and all sorts of things...

...but how many of you have played, and/or might like to see Tales of Symphonia? It's one of the better jRPGs I've played, and it has a pretty fun brawler-style combat system. Granted it's best when played with multiple players, it's still fun solo. I'd also be interested to give its predecessor, Tales of Phantasia (SNES) a try as well; the Fan Translation is apparently pretty funny/ridiculous.

I don't care what you stream, I'm just looking for your crisp, mellow voice to fill my ears again while I've nothing else to do :b

I'd vote for a game over a movie/show/anime, but I don't really care which game. I have Tales of Symphonia, but I keep forgetting about it and haven't actually played it. Seeing you play it or its predecessor would probably kick me into actually picking it up.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Go with the silly prequel first.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

So, sorry it's on such short notice, but it sorta just popped up. I'm going to be streaming some games with AngryPixels this evening!

We'll probably knock out the last leg of Super Mario Bros. X, and after that possibly embark on a new adventure, or maaaaybe give multiplayer Tales of Symphonia a shot.

I hope to see you on the Livestream!

Watching that video was incredibly painful...

Aww and it just cuts off so I don't know if you beat Bowser!

It would appear as though my ISP is dicking us over, and I can only get 8 FPS of streaming video, as opposed to the usual 35. Might be the snowfall... who knows. Going to have to postpone this until it's fixed. Sorry guys!

Hopefully going to be getting my internet fixed within the next few days, though for other reasons the Livestream might have issues for the near future. More details on this when they come.

In the meantime, I'm going to be attempting a complete run of Fall From Heaven 2 as a Let's Play, with one of the new content mods called Rise from Erebus. Hopefully it'll keep folks entertained for the time being! Here's a link to the LP thread.

Okay, I think my net has resolved itself into some semblance of working order. Would folks be up for some shenanigans this weekend? I have a rather entertaining, bizarre, and awesome film ready, the Chinese version of Shaolin Soccer (which is apparently even more bizarre/awesome), as well as a few bits of gameage.

What do you say? Some time in the afternoon good?
