I'll be ringing in the new year with a 2012 Livestream Aztextravaganza!
We'll get under way in a few hours (~4-6 hours from this post), starting with:

Les Myterieuse cité d'or
aka "Esteban, Child of the Sun" or "The Mysterious Cities of Gold"

It's a French-written 1980's anime, featuring an orphan boy raised in a Barcelona monastery during the early days of the Colonial Era. He meets with a charismatic and at least semi-trustworthy explorer from the New World who is searching for ancient Aztec gold, and who supposedly knows what happened to the boy's father. They embark for the Spanish colonies, meet up with other kids, find some crazy-advanced Aztechnology, stop plots to take over the world, etc., as usual for the time period.

I've heard it described as a sort of Mesoamerican "Avatar: The Last Airbender" meets "Tomb Raider". All things considered, it looks like it could be really cool, provided I can get the English subtitles to work. If all else fails, I do have the somewhat less awesome English dub. If that doesn't work there's also Part 2 of "The Hogfather", and some other fun things we could do. Hope to see you there!

I've seen enough subtitled stuff for today I'd say, but do please poke the thread if anything else comes up!

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Alright, ended up heading out for longer than I suspected. Livestream is going to be postponed to a slightly more reasonable hour. I'll be sure to keep you posted!

I've been snooping around on the web, but it appears that there are no relevant subs of the cities of gold around. Hmmm.

So apparently I've missed out on the fact that Solifuge is an amazing human being. What's the best way to get notified when the Stream's live? Do you post here whenever it's up?

You could not see it, but I just did this terribly sheepish grin thing. Thank you... and may I ask what inspired this?

Also, I generally post announcements in the stream, or bother people on Steam, yes. I usually stream afternoons or wee hours of the morning EST on weekends, and try to give at least 30 minutes notice. I'm trying to get better with scheduling, but my schedule is all kinds of hectic right now, as I try to keep track of all these irons I have in the fire.

Haha aww, that reaction makes it even better. I'll admit there was a bit of hyperbole in that comment, but it's only because I was trying to keep it short and not too gushy and other descriptors weren't really right. I had your stream on at work for about three hours earlier watching what I think were re-runs from the Christmas marathon extravaganza thing and got a kind of internet mini-crush thing that I get with some streamers. You seemed really cool; smart but not overbearing, letting your friends be right even when you knew you were, good enough at whatever was being played that it wasn't frustrating to watch, talking to your chat room, great sense of humor, and a good voice on top. Plus a couple more little things that were great in context but would take more explanation than it's worth here. Basically I think it'd be fun to hang out with you, which doesn't happen extremely often with online personalities. :P

I guess just keep it up and I'll have to make sure to tune in when I can!

Edit: aaaand MLP chiptunes. haha nice. edit2: maybe not MLP... grr the tune's stuck in my head but the words aren't there. edit3: haha nope definitely MLP, there's the theme song.

edit4: "OH! I get it! The martians are analogous to the native americans! Only with more tentacles..."

So, where did you get Super Mario X3? I saw the link at the bottom of the main menu but it's not there.

Ah hah, found it. Turns out that was part 3 of the Super Mario Bros X video series. Found a download on a site that's only mildly sketchy, too.

Eh, actually that download didn't work. At least I know what I'm looking for, but the problem seems to be that it's old and isn't around much.

But comment section of a random joystiq article to the rescue with a megaupload link. They also point out that the title of the game is a little awkward when said out loud.
