Yeah, I'm sorry I wasn't able to navigate networking problems better. On the plus side, I figured out the setting on my compy that seems to have been causing problems for other servers I've run (IE CnC Tiberian Sun, and Minecraft) so we can probably try them again sometime soon!

Here's hoping Deon is able to share his wisdom with us, and solve our international sync problems! Also, I'd like to wish a Happy Birthday evening to Lysabild! Enjoy the celebrations!

I just got my mitts on a restored copy of the first animated feature film in ever! And it's in color! And what's even better is I'll be streaming it this Friday! I'm aiming for around noon EST, though we could do another showing on the weekend if folks can't make it tomorrow. If you're interested in catching it, let me know what time-windows you have tomorrow, and we can figure out a show time. It's about an hour long, all in all.

The Adventures of Prince Achmed:

When this animation premiered in Germany on September 23, 1926, it was hailed as the first full length animated film. More than seventy five years later, this enchanting film still stands as one of the great classics of animation- beautiful, mesmerizing and utterly seductive. Director Lotte Reiniger was able to create pure magic with her hand cut silhouettes: with her elegant, intricate designs, she could bring characters vividly to life and give the story a rare lyrical quality.

Taken from The Arabian Nights, the film tells the story of a wicked sorcerer who tricks Prince Achmed into mounting a magical flying horse and sends the rider off on a flight to his death. But the prince foils the magician's plan and soars headlong into a series of wondrous adventures- joining forces with Aladdin and the Witch of the Fiery Mountains, doing battle with the sorcerer's army of
monsters and demons and falling in love with the beautiful Princess Peri Banu.
