Three-Elf assault team: Eu-Chre-Jack

Unit 1: Elven Archer
Unit 1 Name: Eu

Unit 2: Elven Scout
Unit 2 Name: Chre

Unit 3: Elven Warrior
Unit 3 Name: Jack

Named after me, this team is unlikely to stay alive in entirety.

I don't remember the full specifics of this game, but I seem to recall that when playing Elves vs. Orcs, it is best to attack with the Elven Archers, defend with the Elven Warriors, and use the Elven Scout for fast backup and breakthroughs.

I would like 3 units

Unit 1: Elven Archer - Ranger
Name: Default is fine for me

Unit 2: Horseman - Paladin (ideally, before the 6th scenario; realistically, before the 9th)
Name: Same as above ^^

Unit 3 (if possible): Gryphon rider
Name: ^^

Actually, if possible I would like a fourth unit.

Unit 4: Thief or whatever the backstabber are called
Name: Redshirt I

Each time he gets killed, which hopefully will be very often, a replacement should be called Redshirt +1 (II, III, IV, V, etc.) I really like using thieves as forward shiled; cheap, good evasion, can be used to backstab if they survive the initial attack and once leveled, they can deal serious damage. Also, they are one of the few unit types (only one?) available whcih is better at night.

Oh and btw, I don't want my other units replaced, only Redshirt.

In version 1.2.8, there was an in built screenshot feature. I'm fairly certain it's still there. In the aforementioned version, it was F2. Check preferences - general - hotkeys to make sure.

I'll take a Merman Warrior, and lurk in the water whenever I can.

Also, units generally have info on what they're strong/weak against. Undead, for instance, are usually weak against light, blunt and fire, if I remember correctly.

You can right-click on a unit to get its description, which will tell you what it's good/bad against. Playing on easy will also help a lot.

But yeah, some casualties are inevitable.

I want a human Lancer as soon as possible. Given the sheer number of named units, I'll only take one.

As for the way to do this: recruits only scouts on your first turn and grab as many villages as possible. Then recruits a mix of warrior/bowmen and go north as soon as your coffer are empty. Try to have your heroes level by letting them deal killing blows.
