(D&D 3.5ed) Fading North (Always recruiting)
« on: March 12, 2011, 12:41:44 pm »

Hello everyone. I figured it's about time I hosted a campaign with the setting I've been working on for the past little while.

This particular series of adventures will take you all across the northern reaches and players should expect a myriad of enemies and strange events. Any more than that, and I would be spoiling things.

What you do need to know is that the lands of the north are dying. Deadly beasts roam the land, whole swathes of territory and even entire kingdoms have fallen to strange and deadly curses. Invaders from the south are constantly on the lookout for weakness in the northern nations, and godly meddling only continues to increase the problems.

I can host sessions:
Mondays
Tuesdays
Thursdays
Fridays
Saturday afternoons

I will accept any and all applicants. Please state what days you can play as well.
Note that this campaign will be using maptools and hamachi.

Some campaign info:

The map:

Political Map:

Location Descriptions:

The only restriction I will make is that only classes and races from the players handbooks (1 and 2) may be used unless I approve.
Players may make use of equipment from the arms and equipment guide as well.

Roll for character stats! Not point buy!

And no psionics

Thank you. I believe that D&D games take forever to die because of the amount of intrest in them.

I'd like to request Divine Mind from Complete Psionics. If you dont want to read about it, here's an outline
Pro
  • Two straight-progression saves
  • d10 HD
  • He can use psychic mantles
  • Auras
  • Divine grace.
Con

  • 2 + int skill points per level.
  • BAB is horrible
  • Cant manifest even if his own life depends on it
  • Lack of any psionic abilities for dealing damage
Basically, it's a low-level tank who cant hit anything(but can block opponents with moderate success), learns to moderately buff allies init and dex at level 2, and learns to polymorph at level 12.

Posting for interest, I might play depending on what times are agreed upon.  I need to find out my next quarter's schedule before I can definitely commit though.

I'm going to have to deny this one. Psionics don't exist in this setting
