I would join your games Cthulhu, even if they have a life span of around .3 sessions.

What is my Druid's ECL ?

What race is he?

It should be one.

Ok since we are all level 1 there is no way we can run into say a level 10 - 20 Ogre. Correct ?

That is not true, I often try to kill my players. Good times. Good crabby times.

Edit: I mean yes, that is very unlikely.

So the DM could throw a super high level creature at us, but what would something like that have for its CR ( Trying to fiqure out if its worth trying to fight such a monster or avoid it. )

CR is fixed.  A level 10 monster is always level 10 regardless of who fights it.  It's hard enough for level 1 players to stay alive as it is.  Higher levels can take on tougher challenges because they get more resources.  If moghopper is that much of a dick to throw an ogre with class-levels at us on level 1, just run away.

Although, if he sends something like that, chances are he's trying to kill us and it doesn't matter what we do.

Well a ogre has a base CR of 3. For each level it gains that will go up by one, thus a level 10-20 ogre would be CR 13-23.

This does not work perfectly, some classes will work better with the ogre then others so the real challenge would vary, but even without levels a ogre would kill several or all of a level one party.

So what Cthulhu says.

The Druids Animal Companion.

Short of it is they go up in power but not real levels. (HD are sorta like levels for most monsters)

ECL= Class levels (1) + Racial HD (0) + LA (0, assuming you're an ordinary race)

Class levels are usually the only thing about this that changes, since Racial HD in humanoids are often inferior and level adjustment can't be gained, though there are ways to lower it, but not below 0.

Grek, that's an interesting character you have there. Never thought of CON as a dump stat for any class, but then who ever thought of STR as a dump stat for a fighter?

Well, the entire plan here is to become some sort of undead and get a CON score of -. It's also thematic, and the order that the dice fell.

Besides, 4 hit points is enough at level one for a ranged character, right? That's as much as a wizard!

(PS: I too am playing this one out of the SRD. I have books, but they're back at home while I'm in college.)

I made some changes to Ghenor Irucha to better reflect his back story (Coming soon to a thread near you) and to make it so he can get in to a PRC that I want if we make it up to levels 16-20.

Unless there is a plan not to go to 16-20, then I should most likely drop them because they are really weird, like I had to take the flaw murky-eyed to get the feat blind fight. That is pretty funny.

Yeah that might be it.
