Did I mention I was glad I'm not in the group with the 16 rerolls guy?

Just in case I'll say it again.  Glad I'm not in the group with the 16 rerolls guy.

You bury yourself alive near a big anthill for a few years.

You won't be an undead skeleton, but it'll work.

Why do you need to be a skeleton to avenge your dad?

Most importantly, why does everyone want to be undead?  Did Moghopper's whole "undead are kill on sight here" thing not sink in?

Because the man who killed my father was a great necromancer.

That's the worst thing ever.

"My father was killed by a mad man! I must now be a mad man!"

"My father was killed by a necromancer! I must now be a necromancer!"

"My father was killed by a lazy bureaucracy! I must now be a lazy bureaucrat!"

"My father was killed by a goat! I must now be a goat!"

“My father committed suicide! I must now be my father!”

Heh heh. That made me laugh.

Hey adwarf, do you have a DnD book called: Heroes of Horror?

Okay.

Is anyone but me worried that adwarf is playing a class that he know literally nothing about and does not have any of the resources he needs for it?

No, but generally when you can not play something you don't try to play it.

Although frowned upon it is possible to play as one of the original classes using only the SDR, it is not possible to play as a dread necromancer without Heroes of Horror. Some one will pretty much have to hold your hand and tell you what to do all the time.

Frowned upon? Who frowns upon that? And why? WOTC made the SRD available for free online; they had to expect people would use it. Especially now that the books are out of print.
Mind you, the books are still good to have; there's a fair amount of noncritical but useful stuff that's not in the SRD, and the books are just nicer than the websites in general. But I don't see any real problems in doing without, either.
