I would join the Please Make a Functioning Character Barbarossa Party but I doubt he'll last to level 2.

I hope we all last to at least level three.

Damage can't go below zero, so it's not as simple as taking the average of 1d10 and subtracting 3. It's (0+0+0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7)/10.

I'll have to acquire a horse later, then. There's a chance for a critical, raising it slightly above 2.5.

The dagger that does less damage then a harpoon
Yes, but it costs almost nothing and you don't have to hurl it. Then again, I could just not throw my last harpoon.

Damage can not go below one ether, thus 3.1.

The more you know.

Edit: Thaaaaat sounds pretty smug now that I have read it over. In the interest of sounding less smug, I was thinking 2.5 until you pointed out my mistake.

Aha, but the damage roll is 1d10-2 with this new and improved strength score. Thus is it an average of about 4. Assume that the enemy wants to be able to move at more than 15 feet per round, and that's 8 per hit, plus wasting a full round action from the enemy. I could probably contrive some system where I harpoon them to waste their actions and then ride in circles around them with a bow, pincushioning them with my infinite wisdom.

You are still at -3, age categories stack.

And you can not ride.

And with your gear you will be lucky to be able to move at all much less at 15 feet.

Ah, you're right; only damage reduction can reduce damage to zero. (Which is an incredibly stupid sounding sentence if you don't have 3.5 on the brain.)

Okay, so it's still -3. But I have mobility in the form of my donkey. "Donkey!?" you may be saying to yourself, but I assure you that it is only a -5 penalty to ride a creature not trained for war. With the vast cheaposity of mules, I should be able to afford a saddle to make up the difference. I'm cutting back on gear to save encumbrance.

Don't we need that mule for carrying our supplies?

I believe Criptfeind said that the pack mule would be coming from his money. The riding mule will be coming from mine.

What's the necessity of a saddle, anyway? All I can find anywhere is that the saddle is for sitting in, but no mechanical bonuses. If this is the case, maybe Orrdus is an excellent bareback rider.

1: Mules and donkeys are not the same, do not mix them up because donkeys suck hard, make sure to get a mule.

2: Looks like we are getting two mules then, seeing as they can not carry junk and people at the same time. You buy yours, I have purchased mine already.

A open invitation to everyone: You can pull all the stuff you want on my mule, it can carry over three hundred more pounds.

It is implied in the players hand book that you need one to ride. But there is not any real rules to that effect. I would ask the GM.

Oh also, Cfoofoo, it looks like you got two skill points to much.

Dammit, that was 32 when I saved it.  It must've snuck two skill points in.

Hey look, we have the same number of skill points.

Well maybe we do, it says I get times six at level one, but I am pretty sure that is a miss print.

Is anyone worried that we seem to have no healers and all our front liners are squishy?
