These are the rules! They are subject to change depending on what we need to do to have the game keep running!
Winning
The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Some cards may prevent you from winning if you do or do not meet certain qualifications.
Scoring
Players have a point total equal to the value of the cards in front of them + the value of their Floating Point Pool. This value may be negative.
Playing the Game
Each player begins with five cards from the deck.
Unless otherwise specified:
* a player may play 3 cards per turn.
* a player draws three cards on every turn after the first
* a card is played by saying "I play" [name of card] "on" [target player] [card image]
or something thereabouts anyways
* the effects of said card effect the player targeted.
* the card stays in play under that players control
* destroyed or discarded cards are removed to a trash pile
* cards that cause a player to discard are at your choice - either from the targets hand or in play
* points that are granted to players, but can't reasonably be determined by ownership of the card, are added to the targets Floating Point Pool
* If all players minus one, or 3/4ths of the players plus myself, agree that a card is stupid, it is destroyed and its effects ignored. This is called the "This Sucks" rule.
* There will be no blank cards
* Play is simultaneous
* You have 3 real life days, roughly, to finish your turns. Players who wait until the last day to take their turn will only be allowed to play 1 card per hour. (to discourage big surprises)
* If there is a disagreement over how a card works, it will be determined by consensus. I will break ties. Note that the original creator of the card has no more say in hows its interpreted than anyone else.
* Rules added this turn will be in red. Rules added last turn will be in blue.
* A turn will end early if all players choose ask for the turn to end with a End Turn
* If a card causes a player to lose/gain a portion of points rather than a set amount, and it can not be tracked by the presence of the card, negative/positive points will be added to the players Floating Point pool until the desired total is reached.
* Cards take effect at the point at which they were played, even if we don't find out the effects until later while we wait for player reactions. The exception is, obviously, cards that specifically act as a response to another card, as these occur before the effect is resolved.
*Crime and punishment only effects cards that CAN target players. Cards that cannot, like, say, banhammer, can still be targeted against cards that player owns.
In the same vein, Kingmaker does not prevent players from targeting any card they own, but if they target a player, it can't be themselves.
For the roll to dodge - I am going to say that increases your points by half simply means multiplying them by 1.5.
