Better put it on a flash drive. Most library computers should wipe everything at the end of the day.

Better put it on a flash drive.
Saving and loading games will take forever, but it's worth it for the portability.

Just don't chew up the computer ALL day.  Remember, libraries have books, too!

They have realistically simulated ASCII graphics, too.  They look just like DF does, but with less dwarves!

But can you play Dwarf Fortress on a book? No, you cannot.

Sure you can. It just involves hacking an e-book all to hell and giving it enough processing power to get the job done. Someone already got DF playing on an iPhone...at about one frame per second, but still.

I find in books the legends mode works awesome! Fortress mode and adventure mode are still lacking though.

Rule 110 is Turing complete. Thus, simply by arranging books in a way as to emulate Dwarf Fortress's code, you can indeed play Dwarf Fortress.

Yep, get a flash drive for saves. The game itself can be re-downloaded, and depending on the internet connection, will probably actually be faster if you are downloading while dragging the save file from the flash drive to the hard drive. As for what Akura said, not only should they wipe at the end of each day, but if they know what they are doing, which since you are in Seattle is slightly more likely, they will use a script to scrub the computer clean after every log in.

My library limits you to one hour a day on a computer. It used to be 2 hours, but then they reduced it "due to demand". And recently they added an extra layer of BS to actually get on one, probably because people were borrowing other people's library cards to get extra time.

If you want to Pull the Lever, go to page 33.
If you want to play with the Forgotten Beast, go to page 66.

False choice. Both Page 33 and Page 66 lead to FUN, as does every other page in the book that contains two or more instances of a single number. I'm on to your tricks.
