Change
« on: March 11, 2011, 04:23:13 pm »

It's my birthday today. I'm 16. Yesterday I cut off about 2 and a half years worth of hair, and got one of them hipster side fringe things. I'm in year 11, which is college here. I'm majoring in 3d Animation, something I've always wanted to do since I first saw a 3d game. I'm the happiest I've ever been.

Last year, I was miserable. My grades were horrible, I looked like a stoner and I felt like one, despite never having used any drugs. My hair was two feet long, I was skipping class and in general not caring about the world.

Change is good.

Discuss?

Also, I'm not sure if this should go into Live Advice or General Discussion, but I guess I'll leave it here since it's mostly about life rather than current affairs. Feel free to tell me otherwise.

Sometimes change can be bad as well.

I don't know where I heard this quote but here it goes: "Change is good, but it must have a purpose"

Wat.

Protip: Yankee 'College' is equivalent to our 'University'. You've still a little ways to go, unless you're talking about Community College, which I think is equivalent to TAFE. Assuming TAFE is a thing outside Victo-ohgodwhycaneducationnotbeafederalresponsibility

Actually On-Topic stuff: Change isn't always good. In this situation it sure sounds like it (Except for the hair, grumble grumble), but there's always the possibility that a change could be bad, or simply neutral or even apples-and-oranges.

Change is automatically good? I disagree.

Alright, I won't kill everyone on these forums. You want change now?

Yes. I want you to publically make a thread in General discussion praising Hungry for his magnetic head.

Change is great, it keeps things from growing stale.

(Except for the hair, grumble grumble)
I beg to differ.

Nothing, it's just that the 2nd picture looks like an emo. (no offense)
