Multiplayer games with the friendliest community?
« on: March 11, 2011, 11:47:31 am »

Hey all, I was thinking about perhaps trying out an online game with a very friendly community, any suggestions?

Not only that, but you could recommend your games that you find its community to be of great help to others in this thread.

(P.S., I used the search function but couldn't find a similar topic so I started this, if there is already one, please inform me and delete this topic, thanks)

Shores of Hazeron has a pretty nice community, not many on it but they're nice and a few B12ers frequent it.

City of Heroes (a super hero mmorpg) had a pretty good community when I played it (though I haven't played the game in about 2 years).

Minecraft.... lol.

But seriously, I've been playing RIFT lately, and the players on there ( and I play on a PVP server) are actually pretty nice and helpful.  Surprised me.  I think I've just been skeptical after spending a lot of time on XBOXLIVE.  Those were some dark days...

I second the nice community in RIFT. None(or very little) of the nonsense from other MMO's like WoW.

Best: Subvein.net (Free)

Worst: Playdota.com (Warcraft 3 Mod)

Most Communal (You can get to know people and be "Somebody"): Graalonline.com (Requires Subscription, has trial mode)

Least Communal: Playdota.com OR WorldofTanks.com (As for World of Tanks, although it might not be very communal, it is definitely a fun game.)

Because it's a fairly new MMO and all the babbling douchebags are still wallowing in their old MMOs. But yeah, I think I agree that Rift's your best bet if you're looking for a friendly community.

It's true, DotA has some kind of magic that turns people into dicks. Playing in LAN with people who were good company in games like Diablo or Age of Empires, I got cursed out like I murdered their family members or something.

SS13(goon server), League of Legends, for worst communities. Again, with the magic that turns people into dicks.

LOTRO has some nice people.

Cyber Nations. The game mechanics are rather poor, literally everyone in the game is there for the community. But as it is a war game, expect some people to be poor sports and very unfriendly. You could always join one of the neutral alliances though; they're there for the community and everyone is friendly to them.
