that link's most recent report says death toll is up to 60 at least, with 56 persons still missing.


Scratch that, they just found somewhere between 200 and 300 bodies on a beach near Sendai and they still haven't recovered that missing train yet.

I don't think that's going to be happening quite yet, if at all, but they are having cooling problems...

Anyway I'm watching the news and twittering, I've got friends on the extreme west coast. I hope Japan recovers quickly.

Thankfully, nuclear reactors don't 'blast', so at least they don't have to worry about that.

Sadly this comes at a time when a significant portion of the Japanese emergency services are deployed to New Zealand to assist with their Earthquake. All we can really do at this time is watch helplessly as nature destroys everything in her path, and hope that we get off lightly.
I honestly have no idea how Japan is going to clean up all the devastation caused by this, and I can really only wish them the best of luck in their efforts to do so.
