There was a batch of alpha invites that went out this morning - I managed to get in (Callsign is Logical2u as always). Unfortunately the NDA is quite strict and I haven't tried it yet anyways.

I just got accepted to alpha, but i'm stuck with just my laptop and no mouse for the next 4 weeks.  We'll see how it goes using touchpad

Got into alpha last night, downloaded and played today.

I have very good feelings about this, especially compared to Mechwarrior Online right now.

Got into the alpha too! Woot! It came at the same time as my refund for Mech Online was authorized heh~

Edit: Heh, wow. This is pretty fun. It's very beta-ey and my current internet connection really can't be trusted but it's pretty damn good. There's a lot of things it really does right and while I think it isn't a replacement for true Mechwarrior-like games... it's damn well a game for those whole like the more action-paced, grunge-looking robot duels shown in things like Ghost in the Shell. Heck, I think that's the best description I can think of it. It feels like a really well done Tachikoma simulator!

Come to think of it, there sure are a lot of references to Ghost in the Shell in this game... right down to the launcher name...

Yup, yup, closed beta is starting tomorrow-ish. I'll probably post some thoughts here if I get a chance to play - I had a bunch from the alpha that I couldn't talk about too much.
