Alright, so I've passed the 'training' course. Barely. I have no idea why they felt the need to put me through a military underwater training course. I'm a marine biologist, nor a soldier. I am quite certain that there is nothing out there which I'd need a squad of gunmen to study, nor for which I'd need one of those strange cannons for.

To top it all off, I'm one of the only field personnel at this secret underwater base. I'm honestly starting to think this entire thing is an overly elaborate prank. 'Study ocean life. With this gun and these oversized explosive bullets. They work underwater.' Haha, yeah. I bet they're waiting for me to put their fake 'pieces' about hostile sapient sea life together, at which point they'll jump out at me with cameras and stick me on some new reality show .... !!!
