Requesting another turn, please. I'll (probably) actually finish it this time!

I'll be posting a couple more updates as I'm analyzing the situation. Incoming are: zones, stockpiles and logistics reorganization. Once that's done, the game will be pretty much ready to go. Obsidian will be devoted to observation, identification and fixing of bottlenecks in the production queues and general optimization. Only after that the real work will start. :-)

Sorry, the weekend was quite busy, so I'll be posting updates starting this evening. Planning stage is more or less complete by now.

Since Lav has apparently gone bye-bye, his turn is nullified.  AbuDhabi, your turn.

If he isn't back by tomorrow morning, I'll take my turn. I'm a little bit busy today.

Awright, let's do this.

An excerpt from Ralziril: The Founding and Death of Silverfires: An Impartial Account: Part 7: Corrected 3rd Engraving,
by Dwarven Philosopher Uristus the Younger.

...the late winter of 132 was relatively peaceful compared to the years that preceded it in Silverfires. According to the surviving records, the stores were full of alcoholic beverages and foodstuffs, and the fortress was abundant in the future of dwarvenkind - the children. It is one of these children, one Thinkut Thocitzaneg, who would gain fame belying his young age - a mere one year old in 132, born to two of the Overseer caste. Already literate and possessive of reasoning skills unseen in children of the age, he seized his birthright when Overseer Vandersleld resigned a month early. The records are silent on how this child managed to secure obeisance from...

Armok's Beard, this is slow. FPS must be like 5 or so. Moving the view around the map has lag. The horror, the horror!

From the journal of AbuDhabi Thocitzaneg:

4th Obsidian 132
We need a swimming pool. I told Mom and Dad so, and they said they'd handle the paperworks. Yay! Is it the 4th already? I think I lost two days. I remember the 1st, but not the 2nd or 3rd. Weird.

6th Obsidian 132
The ghosts are sad. I had memorials made for them! They should cheer up!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm serious about the lag. I went to have breakfast, and only like two days have passed in-game.

Two months have passed, during three hours. If I don't waste time by pausing, this means that it'll take me approximately sixteen hours to play through this. It'll be a while.

FUCKITY FUCK FUCK. Game's crashed. The speed at which it crawls makes gaming horrible. The crashes make it unplayable. >:(

Between this and Easter, I don't have enough spare time to do my turn. I'm going to upload the 1st Granite 133 save, and wish luck to the next Overseer.

Save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4245

Good luck and godspeed. :(

Sorry everyone, but I'm having some serious crisis at my work, so passing the turn to the next player is what I was going to ask myself. :-(

So please go on with my blessing.

I'll probably be free to play on early May (days 1 to 9), otherwise my schedule until June is probably hopeless.

Good luck with the lag! I don't think my computer will be able to handle it.
Also, update the 1st post.

I think I killed the game, guys.

If you turn off temperatures and set everyone to masonry (they should already be), then you might be able to floor/hatch over the reactor bits and reduce the lag. However, as long as the reactor's going, the guys stuck in it won't drown. There should be stairs.

Good luck, whoever next attempts to play!

Isn't it easier to just disassemble the pumps?
