And what, exactly, would we do with Michigan?

The UP is pretty much one giant copper and gold mine waiting to happen, and the LP is a giant bed of sedimentary shale via glaciation, with various locations that are prime candidates to be huge oil shale pockets. You figure it out.

As a duly appointed Canadian, I will gladly accept Seattle and Oregon into our mighty British Empire country.

And not North Dakota? As the resident Fargoan, I'm somewhat insulted.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Not to mention the giant salt mines underneath the lakes.

Look on the bright side, if you slide back into feudalism (and you're almost there), you may get to play with guillotines.

Give it another election cycle.  Governor Snyder will make evaporating Lake Superior his campaign pledge.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well, this is just depressing. I'm officially a resident of Calumet, in Michigan's copper country. Is it finally time to secede, and declare ourselves the independent state of Superior? Even if it would mean re-opening the mines and tying ourselves to Canada, I would probably be for it.

Too bad ER waiting lines are still ~12-15 hours from the time you sit down next to the baby with lungs of steel.
