whats Work with 3D mineral veins and mine maps?

is it just veins that go down the z level or a map in 3D to see veins?

3D veins, clusters etc. AFAIK.

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

Veins that span more than 1 z-level in height.

Think adamantine pillars, just without the whole hollowness issue. Also probably more shapes than just a pillar.

Ooooo... I hope he considers adding more 3D underground features when he does that! It would be awesome to have pockets of water or magma. Or flowing magma or water rivers underground. Or even deep aquifers.
