I'm with Tarran as well, for obvious reason(+2 to fire, arcane mini-suns in watermelon form)

(5) You manage to struggle free of the guards and sprint to a safe distance before tossing a knife at one! (5 + 1 = 6) The throwing knife zips through the air, slitting a guard's throat! It then travels around the group of guards like a boomerang. It (5) Slits another throat, (Three 6's in a row!) decapitates three more (!), (4) slices open the last guard's arm, and (2) narrowly misses a random bystander. It then flies back into your hand. Holy crap.

Rolls:

Porin Keeperechoes-As the team began to meet at the gate, it turned out that Zrk brought horses.

"Horse?" remarked Porin. "No good for Kobolds. Horses evil. One kick, blam, shattered skull. Happen to many kobolds. Hear it happen to dwarves, elves, humans too."
Porin apparently did not trust horses. Instead of getting on his horse, Porin walked over to Tarran, looked up, and asked "Can ride with you?" with the cutest expression he could possibly make.

Tarran Terra-Tarran looked at Porin and gave up on trying to resist. "Darn, you sure are good at that. Hmm, if someone ever has an abundance of good stuff I'll call you, 'kay? Anyway, go ahead, you can sit with me," he said as Porin hopped up behind Tarran and Tarran make the horse move forward a bit.

Bjorn Inmus-Meanwhile, Bjorn expertly waited on his horse, which he somehow found himself on top of.

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-Ivan thought about his situation and clutched at his side. The rest of the group had already mounted their horses and were ready to leave. Ivan decided that his wounds, while bad, were dressed well enough and that he would be able to ride. Mounting his horse, he set off with the rest.

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-Taric agreed to the deal and went outside to mount his horse.

-1000☼

Nihilius 'Cogs' Vekt-"Don't worry Porin, you'll be fine. I've ridden plenty of times, and I'm not dead yet," said Cogs in response to Porin's fears.

'Zrk'-Meh.

Game Events:

As the group waved goodbye to the inhabitants of the castle, the Duke held a celebration that could be heard as the drawbridge rose. The group stopped at an intersection with a sign in the middle.
Taric was the first to speak. "The sign says 'Barakar: Ahead, The Weary Hills: West, Sakanth: East, RidgeWalled: South.' I say we go to Sakanth first, Bjorn here knows a lot about fire and we might run into some feral elves as well."
Tarran responded: "No Tarran, it's best to fight Yaetrix first. Our horses can't stand the heat of the desert, anyway. Besides, look at Bjorn. Fire counters ice, right?"

The group eventually agreed to travel to the Weary Hills.
Entering a large field, Ivan made a quick remark.
"Man, if there were archers here, we'd really be screwed. Here there's no cover at all"
Ivan heard a slight breeze go by his head, and then continued.
Tarran spoke next: "Well, there's nowhere for the archers to hide either, eh?"
"True. If there were any archers, we'd see them first," replied Ivan as he looked down and saw an arrow in his lower body.
He then screamed in pain. Taric leaned over and took a close look at the fletching.
"Elves... and these aren't the hippy kind either. That bolt is made of iron. Get down!"

The group jumped off their horses and ducked for cover. Porin, with his keen senses, located a head sticking up above the ground.
"Archer there!" yelled Porin as the elf dived behind the hill.
The elf was then spotted by everyone retreating into a group of trees.

"What is he doing? Why would he attack us?" asked Cogs rhetorically.
Tarran replied, "He's going to tell his friends. We can keep going, but they know we're here. If we follow him, we can catch them by surprise and find out why they attacked us."

Porin frowned. "Evil elf. Elves all bad, not have anything worth taking. Wooden weapon not worth effort to carve it." He conjured up a fireball and flung it at the trees. "Smoke elves out, like bees. Bjorn help?"

The kobold stopped the fireball just before throwing it. "Elves attack. Will attack again. Should burn them while can," he argued.

Is it me, or are some people completely falling off the map today and yesterday? I've got three people missing for mine too.

Been away all weekend, sorry. Maybe we should try and flank them or something?

'Porin, sneak around behind the elves. Bjorn, go do some wizardy stuff and keep them distracted. Everyone else, spread out, when I give the word, open fire.' Then follow my own advice and sneak off to one side.

I used to be a commander, so...

Agreed. Especially in other forums (on this board) as well!

Rolling sometime later today. I have a giant milkable giant bee, a vicious mini-spider, and a giant cow beetle to tweak for my upcoming DF mod. :)
