Run out of room, re-set shield, than head back.

Rolls:

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-Ivan charges across the hallway, running a bit too quickly to set foot on a pressure plate, and makes it to the end. He meets Taric in a circular room, with a pedestal in the center and two large glowing slabs on either side of the room. An arrow-shaped stone sits on the pedestal. Ivan tries to grab the stone, but he hurts his arm from exertion in doing so. That thing won't come off.

Tarran Terra-Tarran drags Jacen along as he walks through the hallway, trying to avoid setting off the traps. The trap seems to be designed to root out a reckless invasion, not to stop any and all entry.

Porin Keeperechoes-Porin, shrugging at the human's mishaps, makes his way across the hallway after the humans. Being too light, he simply steps on the plates without setting them off. He looks around at the fungus. It looks quite pretty, actually. Better than the glaring sun, anyway. Porin then looks at the glowing stone, which fills the room with an eerie haze, and shouts out loud: "Shiny!"

Bjorn Inmus-Bjorn re-shields, then walks across the hallway, triggering a cascade of spikes as he does so, and makes it to Taric. Meanwhile, Taric finds a piece of paper on the floor. It appears to be a crudely drawn adventurer's map! He draws a bunch of smileys to show where everyone is.

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-Taric, now finished with the map, proceeds to stare at the glowing crystal on the pedestal. He sees it pointing at the wall ahead. His simplistic mind works, and he concludes that forward is the way to go! He grabs Jacen, and tries to batter the wall down with him. After about 10 tries or so, Jacen is unhurt, somehow, but the wall still stands.

'Jacen'-Jacen follows the group.

^ = weapon trap
_ = pressure plate

The teal triangle in the middle is the stone, and the teal walls on the sides are the stone slabs.

If we're at the stone... who's the red guy at the end of the hall? O.o (Edit: Oh wait, it's Nihilus, isn't it? :P)

Porin decided that if this place was abandoned, he was going to loot it. Loot like there was no tomorrow! There might not be for him, after all. Monster slaying and exploring was dangerous work. He made for the glowing stone, to pocket it for sale later!

"Porin, CAREFUL. This seems like an overly generic item-trap you hear in stories." Get ready for any havoc that Porin might cause.

Uhh, guys, Ivan already tried to loot the stone. It's fixed to the pedestal. So far none of you have figured it out yet :P.

Whoops, didn't see that. ^^; It won't stop Porin from trying himself, though. :P I'll try to do something more useful next turn.

Roll 55: Absolutely Clueless

Current Soundtrack: Dead silence.

Item Values

Group Kills:
Butch 'The Butcher' Artiboucheff (Killed by everyone)

Location(s):
Spoiler: Installation (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: RidgeWalled - Castle (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Barakar - Town (click to show/hide)

Current Weather:
Indoors, Warm
Dimly Lit (+1 to fear)

Rolls:

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-Ivan akes notice that the stone is an arrow. He follows the direction of the arrow into the wall ahead, where he notices a faint and rugged engraving the of the wall. It must be quite a few years old.

Ivan manages to make out a slice of cheese... wait no, that's the stone. It seems to have a arrow facing to the left right above it. To the right of this is a mushroom. Below this pair, there is another pair, this time with the arrow above the stone facing right, and the engraving to the right of the stone is a hammer.

Tarran Terra-"Porin, CAREFUL. This seems like an overly generic item-trap you hear in stories," mentions Tarran. Of course, Porin doesn't listen. Tarran holds his shield to his face just in case something violent occurs.

Porin Keeperechoes-Porin, with a graceful tiptoe stride, nears the stone, and places his arms around it. He thinks again, and reaches into his bag, looking for something heavy. He tries to estimate the mass of the stone, and realizes he doesn't have anything heavy enough. Since the stone is about football sized (although he doesn't know what a football is), he asks Jake for a watermelon and gets ready to swap it with the stone.

He tries to execute the swap, only to find out that the stone is fixed to the pedestal and won't budge.

Bjorn Inmus-Bjorn formulates an info-card for his spider (see below) and then attempts to move the stone. He then kicks the stone and loses his footing, falling over onto the ground.

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-Fortunately for Jacen, there are no traps in this room :P.

'Jacen'-Jacen followeth the group once more.
