Pet the spider, and make it my pet.

Rolls:

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-Taric storms ahead, warnign everyone not to follow him immediately. After sprinting across the sea of pressure plates ahead, he arrives at a circular hub of stone. A pedestal with a glowing stone is situated in the center of this hub, and two large stone slabs are located on opposite ends. The stone seems triangular, and points forward, into the wall. As his eyes adjust tot he darkness, the stone begins to glare into his vision.

Tarran Terra-Trying as he might, Tarran has no telekinetic powers whatsoever. Thus, he is still injured.

Porin Keeperechoes-"Wizard taming spider?" states Porin. Now he'd seen everything. Still, there's work to be done. Walking back up the stairs, he finds Ivan staring at a door and Tarran on the ground, concentrating on the ceiling. Making his way over to Ivan, he opens the door and finds an empty small room. He checks the door from the inside and finds a small contraption attached to the door. The contraption bears a small hammer and a dull membrane attached to the door, presumably to sense sound. Interesting.

Suddenly, Porin sniffs something that smells... quite nasty. He notices Ivan starting to cough violently, and then sees a grate on the inside of the small alcove.

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-Ivan planned to say hello, but yelling at an empty room seems kind of antisocial. Suddenly, searing pain enters his throat. His vision begins to blur and he starts coughing violently.

1 turn until throat damage!

Bjorn Inmus-The spider jumps wildly around Bjorn. It is now his pet! Bjorn wonders what to name it.

'Jacen'-Once again, Jacen follows the group. As he is not here, he is completely unaffected by the gas.

Porin turned to Ivan, wondering what had happened, then turned back to the room he had just opened. That grate was suspicious! It needed further investigation.

Tarran's camping, and I don't think he'd mind if I substituted the action Find materials and splint my broken arm for him.

I do. Splinting is for wusses. :P

Also, poison gas. Don't want to breathe that.

Stay low to the ground, or high to the ceiling to avoid breathing the gas if it's around me. If it isn't, blindly follow Porin.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Roll 53: this is bad

Current Soundtrack (In other words, what game I'm playing :P)

Current Weather:
Indoors, Warm
Dimly Lit (+1 to fear)

Rolls:

Bjorn Inmus-Bjorn takes the spider, places it on his head, then casts a shield around himself before charging up the stairs to meet everyone else. Suddenly, something strikes him in the chest, and his shield disappears. The next thing he realizes is that he is choking on some kind of gas.

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-Taric, deciding that the best way to get rid of the gas would be to ignite it, enthusiastically grabs a bullet and smears it in some barrel grease. He then takes the bullet in one hand, opens the breech of his rifle with the other, and manually loads his gun with the greasy bullet.

"Here it goes!"

Taric aims at the other side of the hall, while everyone's still there... and pulls the trigger, and hears the loud report of the gun echo across the hallway. However, he sees no ignition. In the distance, he sees Bjorn, getting up, his shield dissipating as it vaporizes the bullet.

Tarran Terra-Tarran notices the gas, and decides to find out whether the gas is lighter than or heavier than air. As the room fills, Tarran gets on the ground, and begins to inhale the sickening green gas. He forcibly exhales and jumps to his feet, and inhales again. Luckily, the gas only seems to go up to about his chest, so he is able to breath.

Porin Keeperechoes-Porin, completely oblivious to Ivan's coughing, notices the grate and decides to look more closely. As it appears, there is a green gas coming out. It doesn't seem to affect Porin, so he deems it to be harmless.

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-Ivan, taking over for Porin, thinks quickly and shoves his largest watermelon into he grate to clog it. Somehow, it works!

Watermelon removed.

'Jacen'-Jacen continues to follow the group, unaware of what just happened. Due to plot protection, he is invincible. This may actually help later on *hint hint*.

"Guys, the gas is heavier than air. Keep your head up as high as it can go!"

Shove Jacen in front of me while going forward to... uhhh... wherever isn't explored so far. I've lost track of where everything is.

Porin shrugged. Silly humans, getting so upset over a little green fog. It was kind of pretty, actually, and it was more interesting than the boring gloom he was used to in dark areas. He trotted off after Tarran, his cyclops hide boots silent on the stone floor.

Also @Taric: It wouldn't have worked anyway. I'm wandering around over here with a flaming sword, so if the gas could've ignited it already would have. Nice try trying to off us, though. :P

Use Jacen as a ram to batter down a door. Plot protection works like that :P

I can't think of any other reason to ignite gas than to start a fire or cause an explosion... :-\
