I'm in canada right now.
Coming back tomorrow, followed by no school for the rest of the week. Since I have my laptop I guess I'll roll.

Roll 8

Objective(s):
Police Duty

Location(s):
RidgeWalled - Castle
Barakar - Town (Hawk, Bjorn, Zrk, Sir Fiddle, Tarran, Taric, Porin, Cogs)

Nathaniel 'Hawk' Hawkins-5-Catching sight of the others pinned down at the gate, Hawk dusts himself off and scans the nearby buildings for the archer. Locating him, he grabs the doorknob and sees that it's locked. Instead of looking for another way, Hawk kicks the door down with his gun ready.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Porin Keeperechoes-5-Porin enters the gate and hides in the shadows to determine the direction the arrow came from. Determining this and seeing Hawk breaking down the door, Porin grins and thinks to himself, Maybe Porin can get there first.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-2-Sir Fiddle, on the other hand, charges through the gate (allowing Porin to sneak by) and manages to run about two feet before [5] dodging into a fruit stand, releasing a cascade of melons onto the pavement.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)
-Status-
Impaled in Back

Bjorn Inmus-3-Of course he fires another arrow. What did you expect? Seeing this, Bjorn casts an ice needle and shoots it in the general direction of the enemy, but ends up hitting Ivan instead.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-3-You'd love to return fire, but you have no idea where the archer is. To keep it interesting, though, a swordsman spawns nearby and attacks you.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Tarran Terra-1-"Hey, guys, I'll distract him, I suggest you attack while he's distracted." <- Brilliant plan indeed
Tarran, who has no shield, dives out of cover in order to distract the archer. However, having NO SHIELD, he puts himself into immediate danger. Luckily, he rolls a [5] when dodging the next arrow, so he manages to dodge out of the way and into the swordsman while a spearman comes to assist.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)
-Status-
On Ground

Nihilius 'Cogs' Vekt-5-"Why do these ventures always end up with me getting shot at?"
Taking cover behind the gate wall, and ignoring the two enemy soldiers for now, Cogs takes aim and fires at the archer, [2] Going completely off target but instead [4] punching through the wall and apparently, a support as well, causing the roof to collapse on the archer.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

'Zrk'-2-"Everyone, keep an eye out, I don't like this."
Zrk checks his back. APparently, nobody followed him. He knocks on the door. It opens, letting through a high pitched scream.
"Whoooos dere!?"
It could have been a soldier, but as the door opens, it dawns upon Zrk that it is, in fact, a crazy old lady brandishing a cane.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Being a kobold, sneaking was second nature to Porin. So was backstabbing and killstealing. He moved stealthily towards the archer to so he could attempt the first, which would accomplish the second.

EDIT: Just now realized the archer got buried in rubble... so -> the swordsman.

Form a fireball, and shoot it at the nearest hostile.

Oops, didn't realise that this had updated.

Having removed the archer from the battle, Cogs reloads and opens fire on the swordsman now.

Roll 9-An Unfortunate Turn of Events
« Reply #162 on: April 08, 2011, 12:09:28 am »

Roll 9

Objective(s):
Police Duty

Location(s):
RidgeWalled - Castle
Barakar - Town (Hawk, Bjorn, Zrk, Sir Fiddle, Tarran, Taric, Porin, Cogs)

Nathaniel 'Hawk' Hawkins-5-Upon entering, Hawk spots two guards. One wields a double-sided battle axe while the other sits at a coffee table drinking nothing other than coffee. The guard at the table spits out his coffee and rushes for the shotgun on the wall while Hawk [2] tears apart the furniture with his pistol. (-5 rounds)
The other guard swings his axe, [4] hacking a coat-rack in half as Hawk dives out of the way, tripping the azeman in the process.
Dusting himself off, Hawk points his gun at the now-armed soldier.
"You lift that thing, and I'll shoot you. Now you two calm down before this gets messy. Drop your weapons."
All of a sudden, the ceiling begins to crack. Something just caved in!
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Porin Keeperechoes-2-Porin sees the roof collapse, and moves in to confirm the kill. He comes up to a locked door at the base of the building, but ponders whether to open it or not, since the archer is probably dead.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-5-Jake decides to simply sit in his current location. All of a sudden though, Bjorn launches a ball of flame at Ivan for no particular reason.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)
-Status-
Impaled in Back | Synged

Bjorn Inmus-2-You form a fireball, and shoot it at Sir Fiddle.
"That's for calling me a magician!"
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-3-As the swordsman advances, Taric raises his weapon, and hacks the swordsman in the [2+1] big toe, left foot with his weapon first, then [2+1] shoots the toe. The enemy reels back in pain before staring blankly at Taric, and standing up to attack.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

Tarran Terra-2-After Taric makes his... ineffective combat maneuver, Tarran follows up by leaping over Taric, [1] tripping over Taric's head onto the swordsman, and [5+2] masterfully slicing the swordsman's sword arm off, leaving a nice, clean, cut without so much as cutting into the grass.
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)
-Status-
On Swordsman | Broken Foot

Nihilius 'Cogs' Vekt-2-Cogs reloads and takes aim at the swordsman this time, [6] but ends up hitting Tarran in the [2] foot, shattering the bone through the +Steel High Boot+! Meanwhile, the spearman comes by at precisely the same time as Cogs lifts his cannon up to reload it, [6] hitting his head on the barrel!
The Spearman is knocked unconscious!
Spoiler: Status (click to show/hide)

'Zrk'-2-You begin to ask questions before realizing that the old lady is also on fire. What gives.
The old lady [5] stabs Zrk in the head with her Xxlarch canexX, but the attack is deflected by the *Steel Cap*!
