You may want to make the traders NPCs, if only one person plays them they will be very overpowered.

It is a toss up if you get the three people that want to play them in a resonable amount of time.

The church is corrupt to get rid of the corruption you will have to burn it to the ground.

Woah,we got our first crusade ready that fast ? 

Well i would post a bit in play thread but we should wait for basic info and full player list i think.

Anyway i'm up to fight our old enemy unless it would be suicidal mission. We waited long enough to learn the value of patience. That's our only chance and we should not waste it for some foolish strike. As far religion is concerned our people are accustomed to military hierarchy but if high command fails they have no second chance to prove themselves worthy.

Of course unless we get to to killing worlds for fun without profit
