You misspelled Fun.  Sadly I don't have a great deal of water on my map, although I do want to eventually fill up a few levels of my tower with water, with window-glass wall combos to make a huge aquarium.  You know, the sort where you ride the elevator through it.  Problem is, there's no good water creatures!  No river means no large creatures, and the caverns are similarly empty.  I guess I do have a few Giant Olm and Cave Crocs to throw in...

I wish Toady would put an entry for glass in the RAWs so it could be consistent and more useful.

I'm just hoping for more varieties in glass colours eventually. I want to eventually build a giant stained glass window in my grand hall. Oh well, I got gems for that purpose for now though.

I make magma safe pumps from green glass. I've made serrated discs as well but I haven't adequately tested their effectiveness. (Someone claimed that they wouldn't be any better than wood, but I kind of doubt that.)

I repeat what's already been echoed twice in this thread: Having no defined MAXEDGE tag means Glass changes each time DF is loaded. Glass can be sharper than Adamantine, or blunter than a stack of tallow.

Yeah, this is why they are really only useful in dodge-pit traps, as the maxedge has no bearing on whether the target dodges or not.
