Strategy

I hand the strategy over to my son, Prince Conan. Do me proud. The god king hopes his son has the balls to charge up the hill himself with his bodyguards and tear them a new one.

On another note, just played STW1 again for the first time. I can see what Erkki means, the AI is alot smarter. It hides in forests properly, it defends when they have to (In RTW enemy always comes to you no matter who is attacking).

Also the battles are harder, troops are more equal(being the same!) which makes it alot more fun I think.

Second battle being uploaded on tube. I'm surprised how well Conan did. I had the celtic warband people ready to assist, but he hacked them the peasants to pieces.

Medieval Total War I? I shall definitively be watching.

I'm happy to see that you are doing the Viking Invasion campaign. My favourite.

Also, Lord Einion of Clywd and Lord Rhodry of Guent of Guent looks oddly similar...

Ok the previous battle, Conan hacked peasants to pieces, from now on ill do screenshots like before!

Vikings have invaded Guined, our garrison forces shut the castle gates and the vikings began to siege. Loyalist forces gathered outside and tried to defeat the Vikings, despite inflicting casualties by archers, the vikings withdrew to high ground and slaughtered the peasants.

However, another popular uprising has formed, and the kings army will assist! Cadwgan Hir, the first rebel leader will lead the charge, to redeem his dishonor *at a later date, he cannot move this turn.

The vikings have proven formidable. This will be a tough battle, but we outnumber them greatly. In the kings army are all the local lords, his son conan and some additional warriors. On top of these forces we have the popular forces in Guined.

To counter the Vikings we have:

1 Archer group
4 of our Celtic warbands, most commanded by our noble lords of the provinces.
The king and his cavalry.
Conan and his cavalry.

The king Places Conan in charge of our forces. The vikings have about 2 groups of shield bearing warriors.

Lord Einion from Elwyd has also joined the battlegroup with his warband.


However after slaughtering our forces and pillaging our land.... the Vikings withdrew.
