Smalls of Oceania: OOC Thread

This is the OOC thread for Smalls of Oceania. Race Sheets can be posted here or in the RP thread itself, as they count as both IC and OOC. After posting, wait until I approve you, and then post your opening paragraph. And most of all, have fun!

Whats our current populations, about? I believe under a hundred, but it be nice to know if its like 20 or 70.



Also, is it possible to "advance" through the eras quicker than other races?

The only problem with my race is that there IS NO REASON for them to use standard tools.

Drilling implements?

Have a couple Caerri grow rotating teeth sections.

Defense?

Incorporate Chitin into the outer wall of cells surrounding the Caerri.

Weapons?

Grow tentacles with cluster nematocyst heads.

Vehicles?

Cellular constructs that derive power from and move on organic 'rails'. Give them an inactive nervous system that can be intefaced with to steer.

'Offroading' vehicles would have an energy store that allowed the organic vehicle to operate without rails.

It is possible, but you need a major accomplishment and do something unheard of at the current general tech level with it (if its a weapon or other environment-impacting tool) to do so. You can't be farther than one era ahead, though.

Current population is ~30, Late Tribal is coming up in my current update.

He can use bones fairly well, but the armorsmith is much better with shells at this point.
