Er... I guess at this point they just keep going.

Yeah know? First province makes more Kriblits. Second lair tames then things. Third lair works on the metal. First lair helps where needed.

Sorry for the late late turn. Looks like the forum games list is good for something after all.

A large seaquake tears through the area, wiping out all the Smalls except for the semi-floating (at the time) Peretics and the well-fortified Kriblits. It also scares the shellbeasts again due to the unexpected rumbling.

The Renaissance sneaks into the arriving Darkness!

Third Lair, finished with the mold creates the strange slicing weapon. It seems to be a much better close range weapon, and is dubbed Sword. a couple more are made, but that uses up the current Deep Material. First Lair starts building its own Shell Bell after seeing a sword, while the Armorsmith starts thinking of a way to beat the Chief at popularity again due to a lack of things to do.

The Peretics research ways of transportation and flotation
Putting enough pressure on a container of one of the liquids causes a loud noise, followed by an inflation in the bag. A manuvering stick is attached, and the Perectics now have a reliable transport, though eventually the container bursts open for some reason.

The Peretics scout to see how much damage was caused by the quake and if it caused any new landforms or changes to the geography. Any corpses found will be buried respectfully. New weapons are designed based on claws.

Any chance I could join in? (Looking at the thread's title...)

Alrighty then...

Name: Pyroids
Starting Spot: (Green Crystal) Crater
Description: Appearance: Sentient crystalline species, faintly warm and luminescent from radioactivity, communicates and senses with electromagnetic pulses (Think sonar), and "moves" by mono-molecular particles of itself forced through tubes by a stronger, yet non-interfering magnetic field, with particles reattaching at the other end, able to change coloration and "grow" into almost anything. Growth via mineral synthesis into more of the crystal.

Due to the retarded (slow, not stupid, BTW) activation of the spacecraft's computers, this pod went down with the rest of the craft, landing during a dark period due to overall increased drag. The pod waited until the occupants could survive The Opening. The Peretic discovered the crystals as they were fresh out of the pod, and growing, yet non-sentient (It takes time for them to "Reboot"), and his body was synthesized automatically. The craft's remains were also incorporated in the same way.

(This OK?)

EDIT: I should make some orders, durr!

We notice a fence ringing the crater, and, deciding it will make a nice foundation, send 5 converters in each direction with orders to fan out at the fence and begin converting it to a clear, non-sentient and non-converting crystal dome, with a hole large enough for a large crystal at the apex, with a piece that can seal it when not needed. Use dissolved minerals where there is no fencing to convert. Name the "Green Crystal Crater" The Chamber.

I'm not. Um. Dead. I am still here. ah.. Yeah... Whoops I think I wrote my turn but never posted it.

Okay, First and third lair will work together to make more shell bells and get more of the stuff. Second lair tames the critters. First province mainly works on growing food and supplying fire to the lairs to combat the dark.

The armorer will work with the Deep Material in his work. Making armor well the.. Ah.

Fuck. I forgot my other smiths. I think I had a armorer, a weapon maker, and a general smith? I guess they do what they do best.

Oh, by the way, there is a OOC thread, where you should be making posts like that.

Although it is completely understandable that you missed it, as it was like three pages back.

Any way, I bumped it for you and answered your question.

The crystals starts moving! The Chamber's creation is started.

The Perectics see the growing crystal dome coming from the crystal field and scatter back to base to tell the leaders of the doomish thing!

The Kriblits work as well as they can in the dark, though the Armorsmith complains of the low light (the glowglobes died with the Caerri) and the lack of enough deep material, so he just goes back to shells for now. the other two smiths continue on working, grabbing additional containers of fire as needed.

The Pyroids know everything there is to know of Peretic physiology from the synthesized Peretic, but since that one is still intact, the Pyroids decide to send it as a diplomatic envoy, after making quintuple sure it would be harmless to the other Peretics. As this is just a synth Peretic, it is capable of communication with the others. After realizing the local phosphor levels are quite high, a small packet of phosphor is sent along with the Synth Peretic, along with an igniter, to act as a beacon for the other Peretics.

The Chamber is completed, and 5 former crystals remain outside, slowly adding to the thickness of the dome. Using the little remaining dissolved minerals in the water inside the dome, a small seeder ship is created, along with its complement of 10 seeder crystals.

Known Crystal designs:
Inert: Non-sentient, non-synth crystal, main building block for the Pyroids.
Crystal Command: Sentient, non-synth crystal that gives orders to all other crystals, largest known single non-inert crystal known.
Former: Synthesizes minerals for construction.
Seeder: Similar to the Former, but is stationary after launch until it can synthesize into a needed form.
Seeder Ship: A medium crystal that is not synth capable but carries a complement of seeders (Number depends on size descriptor) and their launch tubes. Typically broken down by the seeders for resources.
Synth (insert name of creature): A perfect crystalline copy of the original, retaining all memories as well as consciousnesses. Unable to synth.

Pyroid Vocabulary:
Synth: The process of turning the base elements of one thing to Pyroid elements.
Igniter: A small pair of inert crystals that, when shocked (we utilize electromagnetism, thusly, we have the power) produces a spark capable of igniting almost anything.

Can we have an up-to-date map?

The Peretics utterly freak out but eventually calm down after listening to the Synth's protests. They then cautiously escort it back being very careful not to touch it. <---(roleplaying reaction).  Also to elaborate on the claw thing. There are two designs, one is a claw shaped scythe and the other is a sort of clamp tied on a rope attached to a pole so it's sort of a mid range restraining and hunting thing

OOC: Akylon has given me permission to do some updates.

The Kriblit Master Armorsmith is demanding Lots of coral, deep material, and glass.

A small, unknown craft has descended upon the completed Chamber, and has started chipping at it! (Read Akylon's spaceship thread for context)
The half-filled seeder ship fires its 5 seeders into it, 3 ricochet! The ones that stuck to it are ordered to Synth it! But they were too late to stop it, and it flew out of the ocean, never to be seen again...

The Pyroid Synth Peretic proposes an alliance, pointing out how useful our inert crystals could be.

The Clamp Hunting Claw idea is proposed, but confuses many. The Scythe Claw is seen as a good weapon, and is put into production. (Hollow, so as to fit over a Peretic's natural claw)

My orders: The finished and loaded seeder ship goes to the heat vent near the cave and remains of the giant kelp tree, fires it's seeders into the sand around it, and a small dome with a pipe-like extension on the side facing The Chamber is started by the seeders. Instead of being consumed, the Ship goes back to The Chamber to reload.

The Peretics design special new harnesses for fish mining and continue negotiations with the Pyroids being deeply interested with the alliance idea
