As the night is driven back by the Kriblit fire the activities of the lairs settle down to more normal pace. First lair settles into it's job of masonic projects as it go back to the improvement of the great tunnel. After such a population increase the plans are changed, they no longer call for small fortification, but rather a whole new lair. The first diggings of Third Lair take place only a three day after the great victory, it will be built near the great bubble.

In second lair it is realized that with food stores temporarily high enough and enough armor made to last the army several engagements at least, the hunting of the shelled beasts is not only ineffectual, but there is time to halt such activity to look for a better way. What once were hunting parties now set out with a differing objective in mind. They go to not kill but capture the shelled beasts and bring them back to second lair. Well the warrior population goes on this activity the one few that are left behind gather lose bits of the coral to build a corral.

20 Kriblets prepare for moving to Third Lair, Improvements continue, but the shelled creatures have buried themselves in the sand inside their shells, afraid. The corral is built anyway.

After the colony is finished, it is delayed for one "turn" to be inhabited, while the construction workers stay up there to see the effects of long term exposure to lower pressure.

Since it seems the ingenious of smalls is not limited to their leader, the task of the day is to create a way to approach a water vent safely.
Minor headaches abound as they stay up there for extended periods, but stop as the current ebbs. A current shaping wall is requested with higher priority than the water vent exploration, and ideas are proposed. None seem reasonably doable with the amount of kelp available at the moment.

The Caerri shall begin construction of the bio-rails that shall connect their cities.
They are begun.

2 Peretics go with the trade caravan as a sign of goodwill and to gather information about the outside world. Back home the peretics do whatever
They run after the Trade Canoe, while the peretics just hang about and have a relaxing day.
(Morale Bonus, I guess?)

Research begins on figuring out a way to safely collect and store the acid, and its potential uses.
While not totally resistant, the rock is the best choice, and is chopped roughly into containers. They'll need to be watched and changed somewhat often, though.

The peretics experiment with ways of building flotation devices and group goes off to see if they can find and capture more of those crustaceans from earlier. The ones at the floatune colony help out and ask what they're doing

To create the massive wall needed to divert the current, all the Floatune harvest Kelp Bark from various parts of the tree left untouched. The Floatune also examine the impact their harvesting has had on the Great Tree.

A larger holding pin is built on the ground, and a few Perks are transferred there. Some Floatune attempt to make the Perks understand a few commands, through positive and negative stimuli. They will start off with just "Stay", and work their way up to something a little more complex like "attack".

The kriblits of first lair keep at the building of Third lair.

Second lair decides to take a new path. Since they can not capture the shelled beasts as of yet, they will range further to find other beasts to tame. They send scouting parties to the north, south, and west (Not east because of course they know there is nothing there but sand and First lair if one goes far enough.)

Biorails 1/3rd done.

Third Lair is built, but there is not enough fire or glowglobes available to send three scouting parties. north and south are sent, hopefully they'll return.

A tiny yet noticeable hole in the tree. Kelp Bark is harvested as the Traders return with their metal and Perectic companions.

The Perks understand 'Stay' now, but a bit of coersion is still needed for anything else.

Research on acid continues. Construction begins on a road connecting Ygethar and Ygthir.
Road Construction begun, while some of the acid is used to make Ygethar smoother and fancier.

The peretics experiment with ways of building flotation devices and group goes off to see if they can find and capture more of those crustaceans from earlier. The ones at the floatune colony help out and ask what they're doing
Questions are asked, while the Peretics try to make a floating raft of kelp. it works, but the Peretics weigh it down too much.

While a bit extreme, there is a use for the Peretics. They shall be used as "attack dumbies", perhaps even slightly harming(bruises) other perks, to encourage the Perks to attack. They shall be rewarded for when they attack with the command. The guards will pull off the Perks as soon as possible, to prevent harm from coming. If the Peretics are ok with this, the plan shall be put into action.

The other Peretics will be tested to see their resistance to heat. If it is stronger than that of the Floatune, they shall be used to build that of the construction that will be close to the heat vent. With the "ok" from the Peretics, of course.

The Floatune not busying themselves with the Perks will harvest the Kelp needed to build our next construction, the Heat Vent Shield(or whatever it is).

First lair keeps improving the defenses of the great tunnel. Soon it will be all but inpenritable by a attack from second lair.

Third Lair start's its own project. The Kriblits notice that the old way of each Kriblit making fire, gathering materials, and making the cement is inefficient. With the mass production of fire underway, the old way is not even needed anymore. So a new way is found. Each Kriblit will be set to one part of the job. One Kriblit will gather materials needed. One Kriblit will sort the materials. One Kriblit will gather the food needed to fuel the fire. One Kriblit will watch over fire production. One Kriblit will use the fire to bind the materials together. And one Kriblit will use the cement to bind the tunnels.

Although, now with six Kriblits doing what used to be the job of one, each Kriblit can specialize in their own area of work, increasing productivity past what six Kriblits could do alone.

The first Kriblit factory is born. Soon the production increasing ideas will spread to all the lairs.

...The Peretics are annoyed at being treated like tools in the proposal and make vague mumbles about unions and speciescism. At home there is a hunt to find more wildlife

Breed, continue on current projects.
As the tiniest glimpses of light start making it to the Sea Floor, the Caerri become 100, and the biorails pulse with completion!

...The Peretics are annoyed at being treated like tools in the proposal and make vague mumbles about unions and speciescism. At home there is a hunt to find more wildlife
the Crustaceans have been rediscovered! Making sure to grab a female this time, the Perectics force it back and begin breeding, for whatever purpose!

First lair keeps improving the defenses of the great tunnel. Soon it will be all but inpenritable by a attack from second lair.

Third Lair start's its own project. The Kriblits notice that the old way of each Kriblit making fire, gathering materials, and making the cement is inefficient. The first Kriblit factory is born. Soon the production increasing ideas will spread to all the lairs.
Third Lair is slowed by its lack of hex-divisible population, but the efficiency boost balances it out for now, and soon Third Lair is fully reinforced for now, as the fortification continues.

The Floatune not busying themselves with the Perks will harvest the Kelp needed to build our next construction, the Heat Vent Shield(or whatever it is).
Enough kelp has now been gathered to build the Current Deflector, and the higher colony can now commence operation sans headaches.
The Perks now understand "stay" and "move you stubborn thing!".

Road construction continues, and research begins on a way to synthesize the acid.
A couple reseachers are horribly deadified by bad experiments, synthesis is getting nowhere.

Acid research is halted for the time being. Work on finding a solution to the sonar echoes in Ygthir Caverns begins.
