Was it this thread that someone modded in a mutual facekick reaction as a greeting for goblins?

No, it was a crotchkick greeting.

The official Goblin greeting:
Code: [Select]
[CAN_DO_INTERACTION:C_KICK]
[CDI:ADV_NAME:Crotch Kick]
[CDI:USAGE_HINT:GREETING]
[CDI:BP_REQUIRED:BY_CATEGORY:FOOT]
[CDI:VERB:crotch-kick:crotch-kicks:crotch kicked]
[CDI:CAN_BE_MUTUAL]
[CDI:TARGET:A:SELF_ONLY]
[CDI:TARGET:B:TOUCHABLE]
[CDI:TARGET_RANGE:B:1]
[CDI:MAX_TARGET_NUMBER:B:1]
[CDI:WAIT_PERIOD:20]
This would explain the the low Goblin population. Was also tempted to add the cat cleaning interaction to elves...

Would you mind if I put this in the succession mod?
I now know what my entry will consist of, if I do one...

Damn, I was thinking the same thing! I've already drawn out how to change goblins, and this would have been the perfect icing on the cake.

Do it! I might not do it, and if I do, I'll just add a bunch of weird interactions, not specifically this.

I have yet to mod this in, but I want to create an alternative interaction to necromancy or cursing that instead of creating reanimated corpses or pretty much dooms people to death just turns them into legendary fish cleaners

Unfortunately, interactions can't edit individual skills.

You can with df hack.

Howsabout changing them into a race with natural legendary fish cleaner skills?
And transforming them won't work, because they will retain the skills they had when they were a dwarf.

Oh, and I was bored studying so I did it.
just add this in interaction_standard
Code: [Select]
[INTERACTION:MAKE_FISHCLEANERS]
[I_SOURCE:CREATURE_ACTION]
[I_TARGET:C:CREATURE]
[IT_LOCATION:CONTEXT_CREATURE]
[IT_MANUAL_INPUT:chosen one]
[I_EFFECT:ADD_SYNDROME]
[IE_TARGET:C]
[IE_IMMEDIATE]
[IE_IMMEDIATE]
[SYNDROME]
[SYN_NAME:fishblessing]
[CE_BODY_TRANSFORMATION:START:0]
[CE:CREATURE:DWARF:MALE]

[INTERACTION:FISHCLEANING_CURSE]
[I_SOURCE:DEITY]
[IS_USAGE_HINT:MAJOR_CURSE]
[IS_SPHERE:FISH]
[IS_SPHERE:REBIRTH]
[IS_SPHERE:WATER]
[IS_SPHERE:OCEAN]
[IS_SPHERE:FISHING]
[IS_HIST_STRING_1: send ]
[IS_HIST_STRING_2: in a mission to bless people with fish-cleaning abilities and a perfect body ]

[I_TARGET:A:CREATURE]
[IT_LOCATION:CONTEXT_CREATURE]
[IT_REQUIRES:CAN_LEARN]
[IT_REQUIRES:HAS_BLOOD]
[IT_FORBIDDEN:NOT_LIVING]
[IT_FORBIDDEN:SUPERNATURAL]
[IT_CANNOT_HAVE_SYNDROME_CLASS:WERECURSE]
[IT_CANNOT_HAVE_SYNDROME_CLASS:VAMPCURSE]
[IT_CANNOT_HAVE_SYNDROME_CLASS:DISTURBANCE_CURSE]
[IT_CANNOT_TARGET_IF_ALREADY_AFFECTED]
[IT_CANNOT_HAVE_SYNDROME_CLASS:FISH_MESSIAH]

[I_EFFECT:ADD_SYNDROME]
[IE_TARGET:A]
[IE_IMMEDIATE]
[IE_ARENA_NAME:Great Fish Cleaner]
[SYNDROME]
[SYN_CLASS:FISH_MESSIAH]
[CE_DISPLAY_NAME:NAME:ichtyomancer:ichtyomancers:ichtyomancer:START:0] from the greek "ichthys". They don't bring back fish to live, but it sounded cool

[CE_CAN_DO_INTERACTION:START:0]
[CDI:INTERACTION:MAKE_FISHCLEANERS]
[CDI:ADV_NAME:transform someone into a fisherdwarf]
[CDI:USAGE_HINT:ATTACK]
[CDI:TARGET:C:LINE_OF_SIGHT]
[CDI:TARGET_RANGE:C:45]
[CDI:MAX_TARGET_NUMBER:C:1]
[CDI:WAIT_PERIOD:1200] fire every one day

and this in your dfhack_init :
Code: [Select]
#When someone is affected by the fishblessing syndrome, its skill level in  PROCESS_FISH is set to 20 (legendary +5)

modtools/syndrome-trigger -syndrome fishblessing -command [ modtools/skill-change -skill PROCESS_FISH -mode set -granularity level -value 20 -unit \\UNIT_ID ]

It's not really that interesting, but I think it's pointless enough to have a place in this thread.

Well, not only was it the strangest thing I modded into DF, but so far it's been the only. I created a new creature called the "aragnimagus", which was essentially a modified GCS that instead of shooting webs, turned its  prey into penguins before devouring it. Also, I believe it was able to carry on conversations.

6 types of beholder a beholder body file & a beholder civ that hates elves eats anyone and "loves" treason, yep that was fun & playable in adventure mode + fortress mode, so try me!

I now added the [CAN_SPEAK] and [POWER] tags to... not all, maybe 1/3 of animals? THe most common third?

Can't wait to see the chicken gods. Also, forgot about the minotaur civ I modded in. Haven't seen the giant killer sharklizard thingy yet either, though the bronze, many-armed and headed dogs known as "cake monsters" seem quite popular.

My raws are so dirty. Hey, that should be a competition, dodgiest raws!
