I modded in cat people, dog people (neither appeared in actual gameplay but I did get them to spawn in arena mode) Dragon men (haven't created a new world for them yet, but they did appear in arena also) weapons made of gems (again, only in arena) and made underground animal peoples playable as outsiders (rather easy just ad the "indiv_controllable" token to them.

I put in demons as a semi-hostile race. In worldgen, they are unbeatable in battle. I'm talking 10,000+ other casualties to 300 demon casualties in a war.

How did you do stuff with demons? Is there a way to mod without the using RAWS?

Extracted 33 types of demons from a save game, combined them all into one creature with 33 castes.

Have done some weird modding, but I think the weirdest is the fact that I went out of my way to build a plague mod to screw dwarves over.

I made creature extracts and blood/ichor edible when cooked. Several of my fire imps died after a glob of FB spit got cooked into a roast. :P

How did you extract the demons? Don't they use specific interactions and materials that are only generated for that particular world?

They use hardcoded materials, normal flesh templates, and [INTERACATION:MATERIAL_EMISSION] mainly

"creepers"

Basically 4-legged green creatures with alcohol for blood. They also had an internal temperature as hot as magma. I copied the kobold's raws regarding civs, so they would sent "thiefs" and occasionally "ambushes" But they just spontaneously combusted when the entered the map.

Even funnier is in adventure mode, I found a cave with hundreds of them in it. The moment the game rendered the cave, the frame rate died. Once it recovered, I went into the cave and saw everything on fire, so I deduced what happened.

Could you show us the raws for those?

I was trying to help make a kobold caste with a venomous bite for Masterwork, and through a typo accidentally made them inject the liquid version of the default material - that is, molten hot liquid rock.  Victims would burn from the inside out.

It's actually molten hot liquid iron, I would think.

Yeah, that's true, probably so.
Hell of a way to die even by DF standards :)
