You decide that an iron pick isn't enough, you'll need something much thicker and stronger. A Dwarven skull.

"Hey, guard!"

"Aye!?"

"There's a vein of metal down here, I think the sock might be in it. You should try cracking it open with your head."

The guard comes scrambling down the stairs. He stumbles before regaining his balance. Man, this guy is shit faced sober. He stares slackjawed at the blue metal for a short while before muttering nervously and fainting. He lays on the cavern ground, reeking of water. Now what will you do? His skull was the only hope of getting to that metal. What do you do?

Tired, frustrated, cold. Last update for tonight.

Well he's pretty useless now. But his weapon might come in handy. You muster all of your gnome strength in order to lift the massive silver warhammer. Swinging it could present a bit of a challenge. You hoist it above your head and bring it's weight down on the exposed metal. A chunk comes flying out. It appears that this was not a vein, as you had previously thought, but only a large chunk of what could be a much bigger cluster or vein. You leave the hammer by the guard's side. Now comes the task of lifting the peice, you check you gnome strength meter.

GNOME STRENGTH

[====================]

GNOME CHARM

[====================]

GNOME WIT

[====================]

It looks like most of your gnome strength has been exhausted, your gnome charm meter is fine, and you never had any gnome wit to begin with. Armok, this thing is bigger than you head. You attempt to lift it. Suprisingly, it's unbelievely light, you don't even exhaust any gnome strength while lifting it. Your cap is another story, however. You've filled it with so much ore that you can't even fit it over your head. And you refuse to go around without your pointy cap. What do you do?

Grab the guard's helmet (if he has one), put the ore in that.

Guards carry backpacks, don't they? Time to train up Gnome Wit with some creative theft.
