Actually, this could be a brilliantly subversive law. We just need a few doctors to state that spontaneous miscarriages are an Act of God, and therefore the culpability falls on Him. Congratulations, Representative F**ktard! You've just made God a mass murderer under Georgia law.
I like your thinking.
I wonder what the tea-party would do?

Meh, none of this surprises me.

The typical individual elected into a political office barely has the intellectual capacity and awareness to tie his own shoes.

They're like executives in corporations.  You don't need them, they just get in the way.

What I want to lodge complaint over is the thread title. Seems kinda like a 1984 description of capitalists.

We may not be as brave as Gryffindor, as willing to get our hands dirty as Hufflepuff, or as devious as Slytherin, but there is nothing, nothing more dangerous than a little too much knowledge and a conscience that is open to debate

I was noting that the thread title implied that politicians have a specific style of dress, similar to the assumption found in the book 1984.

A. You're overanalizing it.
B. Politicians do have a specific style of dress. They all wear suits, and sometimes business casual.

Today a lot of people wear suits. There is no specific dress that is widely associated with only politicians.

Politicians should totally have a specific suit they're forced to wear. That way, people would know who to run over. That and pregnant women- after all, we don't want any miscarriages or anything!

I agree. Jumpsuit with silver V stripe over neck?

Somehow you can tell though. Maybe it's because they exude sleaze.
Also, the title was meant as a humorous jibe at a man who's crazy proposal sounds like something the sandwich board man would say.

The title of this thread looks like something out of Simcity, only 500% more morbid and hopekilling.
