Track the fleeing goblins, be carefull of reinforcements.

You run after the fleeing goblins trying to stay concealed by the trees but they outrun you. Upon stopping to catch your breath you notice some goblin footprints on the floor, trailing deeper into the forest. Taking a quick look around at the quivering trees you sprint off, following the tracks. You follow them to a large opening in the forest where they suddenly stop, a dead end! You stop to eat a meal and regain your strength from the battle before deciding on what to do.

Looking at the sky, you can see that the sun is about two hours from setting. If you are going to set up camp then this would be the place to do it.

Set up camp, fortifing it

You set up camp for the night with the small amount of equipment you have. At the moment your camp consists of your tent and... that's just about it, so you go foraging for some food while you wait for the sun to set. You come back with enough berries and leaves for a meal and you eat once more before heading to bed.

You wake up at the crack of dawn the next morning and eat breakfast before packing up and heading off in the direction you think the cavern is. Luckily, you are closer to the cavern than you first expected and you get to your destination in about an hour. What you see before you is a large rock protruding from the ground with a hole just big enough for one person in it's side.

The sun has only risen about an hour ago. What will you do?

Into the cave

You creep into the cavern, being careful not to be seen, but as soon as you enter the hole you hear a goblin shout. You take a quick glance around and see four goblins around a bonfire, one of which looks like the fighter you saw before, two are sitting (yellow triangle) and two are standing.

They look rather angry. What will you do?

You charge towards one of the goblins and swing at it with your broadsword aim directly at it's head. It is just about to collide with the goblin when the beast ducks down and out of the way of your attack, readying a counter-attack. The goblin moves towards you to bite you, but doesn't make contact with your body. Another goblin jumps at you, throwing his foot at your chest and recoiling off your leather armour. The others scramble towards you.

You step away from the goblin that tried to bite you and perform a quick slice across his chest, killing him. Another goblin runs towards you and goes in for a bite but you manage to parry him away with the fuller of your sword. A goblin that was sitting down finishes his sprint towards you and tries to kick you, but you are too fast and get out of the way.

You are outnumbered 4-to-1 and have no clue how many goblins there are lurking in the depths of the caverns. What will you do?

You step just out of the goblin's reach and swing your broadsword at him. There is a loud crunch and a squeal as the monster is chopped in half. The goblin fighter finally gets close enough to strike you and thrusts his dagger at you. Skilfully, you parry his attack and send his dagger flying out of his hands. The other goblin steps towards you to kick you but is shocked by your display of fighting prowess and misses.

You shuffle behind the fighter and impale him on your sword before turning you gaze towards the final remaining goblin. He steels himself and runs towards you with the intent of biting your arm but you manage to pull it out of the way before he can get to it. You take one more step behind the foe and impale him, blood shooting into your face.

Turning around to view the room again you notice a goblin scuttling about. What will you do?

You sprint forwards, towards the goblin scuttling about and notice that he seems to be running over to a more heavily armed goblin to wake him up! You try and intercept him before the warrior wakes up but you are too late and the warrior wakes up. Regardless, you swing at the goblin and he dodges out the way of your attack. The warrior then swings at you with his mace but you're speed makes him miss.

You turn your attention to the warrior, swinging your sword at him. He blocks your blow with his shield with such force that your sword is knocked out of your hand and onto the floor. The warrior then swings at you with his mace, pounding your chest and doing MASSIVE DAMAGE! You are reeling in pain and can't seem to focus. The other goblin kicks at you but misses as you duck down from the pain.

You are badly injured, disarmed and outnumbered. What will you do?
