It also sounds very insider, relative to the fact that I've never heard a church bell before.

Unless that is the point. That it isn't unusual at all.

Glad you think so!  Maybe I will visit old cases in the future, who knows!  In the meantime, I'll challenge the community here to create theoretical recaps of the mysteries I titled there.  So, you know, I can steal them -er- I mean, so we can have fun.

Hamm was visiting the laundramat one day when he encountered a poor crying young rat.  The rat had a new pair of pants that he bought to work at his new office job.  Because he had been unemployed for so long he only had enough money to buy one pair of office pants.

But 'lo he came to the laundromat for their first washing and they vanished after the cycle!  His hopes and dreams of employment so horribly dashed!  They won't allow him to work in his usual day to day pants! 

And then another customer came up to the rat after hearing the story and apologized, returning the pants.  She was doing the laundry for her family of 6 and accidentally thought that the pants belonged to her family and discovered the mistake right in the middle of his sad, sad story.

Everybody was happy and Hamm was credited for the solved 'case' in the paper.

It also fits with the rats overly rejoyscious nature.

They are the kinda people who probably treat the newpaper boy as Santa.

I just realised something odd in the latest comic.

It is fine, just interesting timing issues that reflects bad habits Hamm has picked up.

Thank goodness Beauregard was there or else Hamm would have litterally choked on his words

Been following this one for a while. And man, this one had a quote that made me laugh my ass off.

It makes my day whenever someone says they laughed their ass off!  Thanks, that quip was changed to that after I realized that "Woo!" just wasn't enough.
