Miran's eyes go wide as she peers around the corner and sees the scorpion demon skitter along the wall. Looking left and right, she  curses the fact that the common room has no second exit. Pressing her back against the wall furthest from the intruder, she slowly inches toward the door, from which - sigh - fighting noises are coming. She freezes for a moment when the scorpion thing chirps and spots her.

"Um, nice demon?" She tries experimentally, inching further toward the exit. She glances over longingly toward the river, but can't see much. Stupid fire demon, being all firey and luminous and making it hard for her to see what's going on outside! The vampire's fingers reach for her bandoleer, loosening an acid potion she could drop behind her in case she has to flee quickly.

Plan: dart toward the exit if the scorpion is hostile. If it chases, drop the acid flask in its path. Rush past the battle and dive into the river to proceed underwater towards the ladder.

Ragnar hears the sounds of battle emerge from behind him as he promptly books it and sighs. Demons were NEVER a good thing...

"Keep up boyo, we gotta get to the surface while we still can!"

See if I can grab any supplies or something on my way to the surface, just in case.

Team Invaders 0'second
The Scorpion demon is loose in the common room and walks on the ceiling. It is hostile, but not towards mirran. It menaces a sleeping dungeon inhabitant instead.

The cyclone demon unelashes its 2 prepared firebolts at the charging Ugrad. Ugrad ducks his head under the first but is struck by the second in the abdomen. Ugrad is singed.

Team Dungeon 1st second
Mirran retreats while nobody is focusing on her, she runs making it almost to the river.

Ugrad closes the distance with the frog demon, and swipes with his hand at the eyes of the frog creature. The frog leans back enough to cause a miss!

Brimestone advances towards the frog demon while preparing a combustion spell...

Ashemane Dismisses his scattershot spell and prepares his bow in his hand and drops his arrows upon the ground.

Raarg is far back, but he aims his arrow at the Cyclone demons head.

Team Invaders 1st second
The scorpion demon drops from the ceiling onto amadeus-septimus lying in bed and chokes him by the neck. Stabbing him with the stinger 3 times. Kass Duskfur is awakened.

The fire Cyclone demon readies a spell!

Frog demon heaves its large body forward, driving its bulk headfirst into ugrads torso. Its powerfull hind legs drive ugrad backwards 2 yards and he loses his balance and falls to the ground.

Team Dungeon 2'd second- Spells resolve: Bromstone Combusts the frog demon! It is immolated over its entire surface suddenly, but demons are resistant to heat and cold. Its slimy layer evaporates in a puff of steam, and it is inconvenianced by the distraction of being on fire, and the billowing smoke too!

Mirran escapes

ugrad changes position to a crouch

Brimstone closes in with the frog and .... (need action)

Ashemane knocks an arrow

Raargh Fires his arrow! but it strikes the ceiling instead. He estimates his chances of hitting at 50% if he aims first.

Kass gets up and readies her spear.

Team Invaders 2'd second-spells resolve: The whirlwind demon unleashes a 2 handed firebolt at ugrad! Ugrad nimbly dodges!! The firebolt scorches the floor!

The scorpion demon stabs his strangling victim with the tail 3 times in the face before dropping him to writhe and facing Kass. It clacks its one claw hand challengingly.

The Frog demon lets out a long angry croak of rage and its eyes light up but cannot be clearly seen from behind the smoke. It leaps forward 2 yards bodyslamming Ugrad between the sidewall, the floor and an angry burning demonic frog, with a flying tackle. Ugrads boddy is battered and several ribs break in the collisions. Ugrad resists being stunned. (-7hp) The flaming bulk of the frog is also on fire, and Ugrad is burned (-3hp) and knocked down and grappled.

The firey cyclone raises both skeletal hands overhead and readies another spell!

Team Dungeon 3'd second...

Miran rushes toward the ladder, leaving the glow of the fire tornado and sounds of battle behind. She hurries up the ladder leading to the slime warrens, hoping to catch up with others who are trying to reach the surface.

Bow to the frog and offer my services, being very careful not to look it in the eyes.
As soon as I get the chance, attempt to rip it's legs off, regardless of the success of the previous action.
failing the above, run after the others. if i can't, run to the garbage pit, and jump in. hope worms are effective anti-demon weapons;.

Shigon tilted his head at the sounds of battle. That was odd. Who would be fighting? There were just his allies and those friendly demons last time he checked!

Go attempt to calm down the nearest demon and any allies engaging it.

Using the distraction he caused brimstone quickly launches himself over ugrad and strikes the demon with a flying grapple in an attempt to crush it between a wall and his stony bulk
fly at and grapple the frog demon attempting to render it unconcious by crushing its head against a wall.
If first attack misses grab it by its head or a back leg then twist my body to trip it.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Team Dungeon Turn3

Ashemane fires his arrow at close range. Striking the burning fleshy mass. The arrow rakes the Frogdemon frogmans abdomen, impaling him through. (-12hp) The frogman spews demon ichor before his muscles flex and contain the bleeding to a managable drip.

Brimstone tackles the frog demon, but is too weak to knock it down. He hangs off its neck momentarily before finding his feet and smashing its head against the wall, but the frog demon is too strong. its sturdy neck will not budge. Brimstones imp arrives.

Shigon goes around the corner, out of the room and into the hallway where the fight is taking place. "Hey! Everybody calm down!"

Ugrad tries to break free of the burning frog demons grasp. He fails, he is still trapped beneath the formidable bulk of the frog demon. He tries again flailing desperately, He fails to squirm free.

Mirran flees, and spots the dwarf and human making a getaway, she join them as Ragnar leads, gathering supplies in his arms as he goes.

Raargh picks up an arrow

Team Invaders Turn3-spells resolve: The cyclone demon projects a firebolt Ashemanes way! Ashemane attempts to dodge over it! Ashemane is struck in the right leg jumping.! The firebolt consumes the majority of his leg and it buckles under him as he lands. Cinders fly everywhere, Ashmanes fur catches fire. (-7hp leg crippled) Ashemane falls down and is stunned by the major wound.

The burning !!Frogdemon!!, Unable to see well, simply squeezes and throttles the enemy Ugrad in a bearhug on the ground. Ugrad resists the majority with his significant strength (-4hp) Ugrad is also covered by a burning frogdemon, and so is burned (-4hp). Brimstone, who is grappling him is also burned, but his stoneskin only feels hot.

"BURN!!!" FireTornadoDemon readies a firebolt spell in each hand!

Team Dungeon Turn 4

Ashmane attempts to recover from the firey pain, but remains stunned

Brimstone tries again to smash the frogmans head against the wall, The frogdemon resists but is unbalanced and so Brimstone thrusts the frogdemons head with both hands (-6hp) The frogmans face is rearranged by a single thrust. Brimstone forsakes all defences and tries again to knockout the frog demon, but the frogdemon braces against the wall with its shoulder and manages to resist.

Brimstones imp sees that the frogdemon is badly wounded and dropkicks the frog demon with its tiny feet, with an all out attack. (-6hp) The frog-beast has its collarbone dislocated.

Raargh knocks an arrow

"Ahem, Excuse me, but if you would all just be calm for a moment..." says shigon reasonably.

Ugrad attempts to wiggle free, and nearly escapes but is dragged back by the frogdemons huge strength. ugrad tries to break free again, but the frogdemon digs its claws in to resist.

Team Invaders Turn4-spells resolve: 2 Firebolts strike Ashemane and his breastplate blocks the first in its entirety and the second nicks him in the pelvis, doing superficial damage.

The Frogdemon bearhugs the troll he is lying on top of, crushing him somewhat (-2hp), Ugrad lets out another grunt of pain but sucks in only superhot air, and between no air and the constriction attack he is smothered and K.O.'d. He is further burned as well. (-2hp)

The Whirwind of fire drifts backward while concentrating on its next spell with both hands above its disembodied head.

Team Dungeon Turn 5...

(PS. If you flee now Brimstone, I think you might live.)

As Miran keeps pace with Ragnar she asks: "Do you have an actual plan for going to the surface? Because, you know, last time I had a look up there, the exit was guarded."

((Demons: They are bad news for a reason...))

Ragnar looks over his shoulder guard at the vampire and raises a bushy eyebrow.

"Do you really think that whatever is up there is worse than what we are running from? Somehow, I doubt it. Regardless, if we meet a guard waiting for us, we mash it to a pulp, you collect some blood to take with you and then we take it's stuff and head for higher ground. We'll need the height to get a good look at our surroundings and to see if there is a town or cave or something nearby that we can hide in until the demons decide to go back to where they came from, or we launch a surprise attack on our own terms after taking a bit to plan it out."

After a moments silence/fleeing, he continues.

"That's as far as I got. All I know is those demons back there got us with our skivvies down and they mean business. I'm open to ideas!"
