Dungeon Keeper the Rpg
A location based, time-management defence and strategy RPG

     Have you ever wished dwarf fortress was more evil? Have you played Kobold Quest? Do you wish they'd made another Dungeon Keeper sequel? Well then I have the Rpg for you!
Come play as one of an evil enclave trying to make their home in the underground and serve their dark lord for fun and profit. But pesky competitors and crusading do-gooders try to eradicate your fort from the face of the earth.

How to play
1. make a character (see post #2)
2. spawn forth from the darkest corner of the abyss and eeke out miserable/joyous existence before the legions of outsiders send you back to the shadows, or maybe begin a dark reign of terror as your minions spread forth malignantly across the surfaceworld in your name?

What to excpect

amassing a hoard to rival any creature
Heroes attacking your lair
expendable minions at your side?
mauraders raiding
a lighthearted toungue in cheek tone
3 shifts of 8 hours each, per day, managing your time
in order to prepare your defences
punctuated by brutal combat

Ready to play?

Character Creation

1 Attributes rank from -4 to +4, they all start at 0 and you may add up to 10 rankups as you see fit.
2 race/class: choose one race and once class.
3 skillpoints start at 0 and may spend 10 skill ups distributed as you see fit, but no more than 6 in any starting skill. Also you may sacrifice one attribute rankup for 3more skillpoints.

Attributes:
Strength- for big muscles
Toughness- weight, bone density, and flab to absorb more damage.
Fine Coordination- aiming missiles, handcrafting
Gross Agility- speed, initiative, dodge, accuracy
Endurance- fatigue rate, cardiovascular health, Mana capacity
Health- Resist Poison,disease, infection, blood loss, KO
Intellect- most if not all trade skills, research, Ritual casting.
Willpower- resisting mental infuence such as fear, spells, drowsyness, pain. Aids most offensive spells.
Perception- sharp senses
Charisma- lying, persuading, joking, taming animals

Lizardman- Cutting Bite, Toughness+1, Coordination-1, Strength+1, Big Tail
Snakeman- Agility+1 Slithers, Venombite, Slow Regeneration
Orc- Str+1, Int-1, Feels No Pain
Drider- Coor+2, Agil+2, Superclimb, Big, Endurance-2, Silky Strands.
Goblin- +2 health, -1 Willpower, fast healers.
Minotaur- +2 Strength -1 Intellect, Natural Brawler, Inner Compass
Sprite- Plant Ken, Fastgrow, Treehome, Barkskin
Dwarf- Stable, Alcoholic, +1 Health +1 Toughness, High Tech.
Goatman/Blendec- +jumping, +running, Natural Brawler, Charger
2 Head Ogre- +4 Strength, -2 Intellect, 2 headz is better than one, Big
Gargoyle- Glide, +4 Toughness, Stoneskin, Slow Healer, Slow Riser
Centaur- +running, +4 horsestrength, Big
Ghoul- Carnivore, Sleepless, No Healing unless it feeds, Unliving
Human- Lucky
Troll- Regeneration, +2 Strength, Low Tech.
Mummy- Unliving, Combustible, Curse, Lich Gaze

Jewler- Jem setting, gem cutting, glassmaker
Herder- Animal Care, Milker, Cheesemaker, Butcher, Animal Trainer
Grower- Growing, herbalist, miller, thresher
Engineer- Engineering, mechanic, architect
Clothier- leatherworker, clothier, weaver, thresher, tanner
Smith- Woodburning, furnace, metalcrafting, armormaking and weaponsmaking.
armoury- assembling weapons, bows, arrows, stoneswords, crossbows, blowguns, shields, axes whatever weapons are assemblable.

Question: Is there any way to gain access to special skills other than by being the appropriate class?

EDIT: Also, reserving spot. I'm not sure I'll be able to make a character with just this, but I'm definitely in and working on it.

(Nothing is planned but i'd probably allow a earned abilities to cross over so you can multiclass in a sense. However it would be much more efficient to make a new character in that case.
     Say you earned a perk, i'd let you spend it to learn dabbling alchemy (given an in game justification), but you still have to earn skillpoints to put into the alchemy skill, and then discover/research/be taught recipies so it would take a while before you have something like a healing potion, though some simpler things might be doable like making lye and oil flasks and stuff)

Whoo, sorry about all that. I fully understand if the answer to any of that is "I'm not sure yet" or something similar.

Anyway, despite all that, I'm leaning heavily towards an armored salamander-type infernalist with a fair amount of crafting skills. I'll probably want him to have some sort of attack skill, however, which is why I'm asking about Striker vs Grappler vs normal weapon skills.
