I love crusades, they give me an upkeep free army, or more than one, pretty good mercs(I love crusader sergents), faster movement, and an excuse to grab valuable cities that are far from my normal borders. The only bad crusade I've had was one time when I was trying to get past northern Italy so I could hire a merc ship to hit Jerusalem, but AI armies kept on blocking my way, makeing it so my army couldn't move any more that turn. Lost every unit from my nation in that army, had to pay for alot more mercs.

There are no crusades in the Crusades expansion, oddly enough.  Not like in the original campaign anyhow.  I'm starting the game now.

Actually it's a period between Crusades if I remember correctly, the Second Crusade is over and the Third hasn't started yet.  Turn played, just contemplating how to best write it out now.

Until I get a stable internet connection it's dead.  I won't be able to post pictures or anything, but meh.  I'll restart this as soon as my internet is restored.  I could do some sort of text only thing if you guys wouldn't mind that.  I'd probably save the Crusades run though and do a France Play-thru for text only as I believe everyone would knows which Western European settlements are which and I wouldn't have to post a picture of my acquisitions.

That would probably work, I could post a map of most of France and its surrounding environs, I hold most of them in an England game I have.
