Post-Apocalyptic games with generated maps?
« on: March 02, 2011, 11:38:04 am »

What it says on the tin, basically I'm looking for any game that is post-apocalyptic and has it's map procedurally generated.

I don't believe this game was ever mentioned. Ever...

It got a good review from Home of the Underdogs.

Boomtown: The Aftermath might suit you, too.

If you haven't, you should try Caves of Qud.  I am not sure but I think at least some of the maps are procedurally generated.  I could be completely wrong.  Either way, it's a very imaginative and engrossing post-apocalyptic / sci-fi rouguelike.

The underground cave systems are basically infinite, and procedural. They're also some of the better procedurally generated maps I've seen.

Minecraft. Never wondered why you're all alone?

I always figured its because the player is an anomaly bent on destroying the pristine paradise of Minecraftia, leaving naught in his or her wake but animal corpses and odd edifices. Monsters appear at night to administer justice upon the invader for his or her heartless rampage.
