God, I'm a nerd.

Don't feel bad.  As a long-time violist, I cringe when I hear the people use the word "fiddle" when referencing the instrument being played in orchestral/classical music.

Which itself is kind of cringeworthy because "classical" isn't even a very good description since there are plenty of "modern" orchestral works being written.  But it's the way the genre's been named I guess.

Really? For some reason, I've got a similar reaction to One Piece.

Ironically (or not?) one of the songs I most associate with DF is Kotoko's "One Small Day."   Rather apropos I guess.

And as a band/jazz musician myself, I hate hate HATE it when people say my Alto Sax is a Tenor Sax.  There's a big difference.

Me too. I listen to the default music over and over again even if I'm playing for several hours non-stop. Either I really like the music or I'm too focused on my fortress to hear anything anyway...

Vanilla music was fun for the first week.
I usually play energy 98 e-radio, but when some crappy (or poorly mixed) song is played, I switch to some gorillaz or pendulum or whatever I feel like.
So I guess it's pretty random for me.

It depends. I've got lots of weird music from all over the place, and I'll listen to bits and pieces of it based on the mood that strikes me. From folk/punk that I bought in Lithuania to techno Touhou remixes to sugary pop to heavy metal.

Most of the time I Listen Blind Guardian because a lot of their songs have a medieval tune to it, or I listen to Let's Plays of Dwarf Fortress or just TV
