I feel that it would be full of cards that counter every move the opponent could make.

Really? I just want a lay back deck

Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually added a counter deck.

Managed to build a deck I am quite enjoying. It's an energy deck that seems to have a good spread all the way from low to high energy.

The early game consists of gravelock spam while sacking a card every turn. At 5 energy I try to immidiately get out a gravelock elder and after this I go one of two ways, if I have managed to draw more than one of these I stay at five energy. Otherwise I move up to 6 energy and start pushing out cannon automatons.
For the cannon automatons I made sure my deck has as many concentrate fire scrolls as possible since with one of those on an uncontested lane the automatons can take down an idol in one turn.

To fill up the rest of the space I stacked the deck with burn and other direct damage spells as well as some useless ones (for this build) just for sacking.

Been using it to tear through the trials so far. Next step is probably to add some other faction pool to it. I am thinking order for those 1 cost crossbowmen.

Does anyone have lots of spare Copper Automatons and Useless Contraptions? Something around 30 CAs and 15 UCs. I want to build a deck around them. My plan is to move quickly and take out as many idols as possible before they start building up their unit count.

You do realise you can only have 3 scrolls of each type in a deck right?

And that's what I value so much about the balance of this game.

Well to me the fact that you cannot have so much of the same card isn't entirely done for balance sake but for game sake. As it would be BORING for any TCG to just be flooded full of the same card.

So apparently those who own (or buy?) a copy of Scrolls now have the chance to gift a free copy of the game to a friend (Or enemy).

Anyone still playing this? Fun times?

Anyone want to trade a copy to me perhaps? I'll buy you a shiny steam game!

So been playing a bit since I won a copy of the game,  I'm utterly terrible but I'm actually rather enjoying it, have only done single player and I definitely need to learn how to deck build better. (Though getting more cards might help with this)

So this is apparently released now, still not sure on any sort of strategy regarding this game, but its a thing.

The price point is $5 USD since they don't seem to put that anywhere and you have to buy via the launcher?
