Have Aquifers Changed?
« on: March 01, 2011, 06:23:25 pm »

My current embark has an extremely spotty aquifer that is intersecting with the caverns.

There's also either a pierce aquifer, or random underground river running into it.

Is this a normal thing?

I've had this happen a few versions back, although the aquifer reached the cavern only in couple isolated spots in that case, rather than completely overlapping.

You wouldn't have happened to embark on a glacier?

Well if you remove the [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag from dwarves I think they have like 2-4 children each time they give birth. And if you get enough mothers up on the pillars you can probably get a good waterfall going.
Ashes are technically fire-safe.

Aquifers don't always fill a whole tile.
