Quick quiz.
One day, you find yourself humming a song.
You do not know the name of that song, or any of the lyrics, if it had any at all, but only the tune. Well, not even the full tune, what you suspect to be half the chorus.
You know for sure you heard this song before somewhere, you strongly suspect from an old tv cartoon, or maybe even a video game.
You think nothing of it and let it go, however about a week later you are still humming this same tune, and have been on and off all week.
You conclude that without finding out where this song came from, you will go insane.

Start digging around for potential leads. Even if you don't find the actual song, it's likely you'll find something else to keep you interested and amused.

Darn it! And here I was hoping for a business of songologists who would turn up at your house on demand, then invest large amounts of time and money into finding any specific song for you, all free of charge.

Hum it next to a group of people until you collectively remember the name of the song or go insane. Usually works.
Its easier if you first try to put some lyrics to the sound, then you can google the lyrics.

If you'd like to find the song, then go with the hum to a group option. If you'd like to forget the song, I recomend repeated forced humming of the Chocobo Theme.
