Excessively ferocious tame raccoon

I tamed a raccoon. For a moment, I was pretty pleased with myself. I opened the cage and let the little creature run out into the forest... and it did. It ran and it ran, until it met a cougar.

It chased the cougar, and the cougar fled, until the raccoon had it cornered. The raccoon moved into strike and... bled to death quickly when the cougar ripped the tail from its body.

Seems funky that a raccoon would seek out and attack a cougar, and that the cougar would flee from it.

But yeah, it might be that raccoons, as curious thief creatures, don't have the same fight-or-flight response as a deer or peasant.  Wilderness predators usual flee from things to avoid gameplay problems...  although elephants seem exempt at times.
