In the interest of easy travel, perhaps the Seattle natives could locate a place close to:
a - the Amtrak station
b - a subway station
So the list:
-In Seattle
-Open of the 12th of April (a Saturday)
-Allows people under 21 to enter
-Will accept a party of one or more dozen patrons
-Has electrical outlets in dining hall
-On the waterfront
-close to transit/hotel
So, do any natives know about the outlet situation in Ivan's and Anthony's?
@herrbdog: I took the California Zephyr back east round trip and you'll probably take the same route for a lot of the trip. Anybody who takes Amtrak should look out for three things:
1- probable delays, up to 8 or more hours in my case
2- don't even try to sleep in the seats; go for the lounge car benches and bring a large flat book and a sleeping bag
3- if you go through the Alkali flats, look to the south side of the tracks and see if you can spot a smiley face made out of rocks... that's what happened to those 8 hours
One last thing for the natives; what is the cheapest hotel in Seattle that does not have copses in the mattresses?
P.S. Anthony's is 1.2 miles from the Amtrak station as the google map flies. That's kinda walking distance...
