I won't be there (it's quite a swim to your continent), but I'd be happy to see a handful of pictures as well when the meet is over.

So where does everybody want to go?  I haven't lived in Seattle for almost ten years, so it has likely changed quite a bit.  We'd need to be able to take a bus or something, and preferably not like all the way up to 175th street or something, he he he.  From the last conversation, I remember people thought it best if we don't have an age restriction on the venue.  Depending on how many people we've got, well, I dunno if that's a problem... it might be a crowd some places.

Anyway, locals with ideas are good.  Of course, if people wanted to meet in Bremerton instead, I'm sure there are all sorts of fascinating things to do in Bremerton.  We could crash the pawnshops and laundromats and play boardgames in a meth lab.

I love pawnshops.   And we could totally play Tacticus in a meth lab.

This sounds like the social event of the century! Too bad I'm in New England.

But what exactly would one do at a DF convention?

Too bad. North Carolina here. Maybe someone could bring a laptop (or two?) and the conventioneers could all check the forums or a chatroom, so that people who couldn't go could still interact.

At least I live in the right state, even though I don't have a car.

I'll go if I don't have classes on the day it happens. I'd prefer Seattle.

It seems like the optimum place would be:

-A restaurant;
-Open to all ages;
-On the Seattle waterfront;
-Able to seat 10-12 people comfortably at one table.

So we're looking at Ivar's or Anthony's or maybe Cutters if we want to pay a bit more.  There are many more a couple blocks up in the city as well, though they're mostly on the level with Cutters in terms of price.

There was also a nice slightly divey Indian restaurant right next to the terminal at Bremerton last time I was there.  That's a 50-minute ferry ride there and another one back though, I don't know if everyone wants to do that.

A restaurant on the water works for me.  You get to feed the seagulls.  There's other stuff around there too, so we can do whatever people come up with.   How much warning does everyone need?  Is a Saturday like April 12th or something good?  Threetoe needed about that much warning to get a day off, I think, though he could probably manage an earlier date if people are impatient and nobody needed the time.
