They will continue to detain you in the prison, until you fill out the form or a country claims you. We watched a documentary on the detainment places, you basically get eight hours out of your cell, in a week.

And If they know name, in my country goverments officials would be able to detected his nationality: if you claim Polish citizenship and you know your name and surname you may be check in PESEL (Universal Electronic System for Registration of the Population) - simple they put your name and check all person with this name. If no body from they are like you (PESEL featured photographies of all Polish citizenship), you name will be consider as fake.

I'think that USA have a similar system.

And additionaly: is methodes of measuring some chemical elements in human body, and using it is possible to know region of origin of the person*

Assuming he's picked up by the police and they believe him when he says he's not just a hobo, he'd probably be referred to a hospital with amnesia / assumed head trauma.

They wouldn't deport him. The usual way of figuring out where an immigrant is from is having him talk to a bunch of translators (usually over the phone) until one of them recognises the language / accent. With a perfect native accent, they'd have to assume he's not foreign. Then they'd try to get in contact with next of kin, which he doesn't have any of. Not sure what happens from there.

In the U.S of course he'd have the additional problem of paying for his hospital stay.

In the US we practically have a catch and release system for even the criminally insane. "Falling through the cracks" it's often referred to on the news after they murder someone even after previous arrests for threats or other obvious signs. You might be recommended to see a psychiatrist or something, but other than that would probably just be let back out on the street within a couple weeks so long as you didn't gouge someone's eye out with a spoon. If citizenship were in question, you might be picked up and detained somewhere, but I really haven't a clue as to how that all works.
