When I say "colorblindness" there, I should say the lack of a certain receptor (that we have) in general.

Blue-eyed cats are more prone to deafness.
Blue-eyed humans are more prone to color blindness.

Potatoes are a species of deadly nightshade.

Kitchen Counters often have more bacteria on them than the average toilet seat.

What I see as red could be what you see as green, and there is no way to prove otherwise.

Lemsip tastes bitter because it contains paracaetamol, a painkiller, and painkillers are usually mild poisons, and humans tend to taste poisonous things as bitter.

The picture of Darth Malak on the Uk cover of Knights of the Old Republic has exactly 23 wrinkles.

Yes there is. Cell responses to specific frequencies of light are measurable, as are the signals the eye sends to the brain and the activity in the visual cortex as the brain interprets them.

No, they're just related. That's like calling us a species of howler monkey.

The only figures I'm able to find show otherwise, and that still doesn't consider the difference between pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria, or between pathogenic varieties.

Oh god, not this again.

You can measure a physiological and neurological response to a stimulus, including a frequency (or color) of light. You could even test psychological responses to them. If these are the same for people across the board, then they see the same colors the same way in every meaningful sense of the word.

Obviously, there are people who do have color vision abnormalities, but that's not what we're talking about.

There's a small red fruit that exists in this world. When slowly chewed (avoid the poisonous seed, just chew the flesh bits), it releases a chemical that will bind with your taste buds.

Any food that was previously sour will, for the next half hour til an hour, taste incredibly sweet. Many other receptors will change for the better as well. Many foods, such as the already delicious strawberry rhubarb pie, will be as if a gift from the god. You will easily be able to, and desire to, devour an entire plate of limes and lemons. Some beers will taste like candy, and some candies will taste like pure bliss.

I am one of the few people in the world that seems completely unresponsive to this amazing fruit.

Language affects our perception of the world. Most especially in relation to color. There's an African tribe that has one word for everything ranging from orange to red to pink. Show them things of those colors and they will say they are all the same color. Show them those objects side by side and they will say they are different colors, but still the same. Much like a cliche housewife stuggling to decide between 'off-white', 'eggshell' or 'bone'.
