I know we have at least some regulars who plays instruments, so I wonder what musical instruments everybody plays, or is learning to play. If there's enough people that do play, I'll probably set up the poll. Note that this isn't just topic trash and I am genuinely curious  I don't know many people who can play music but the ones who can tend to be interesting people, and you are all, for better or worse, interesting people.

I PLAY:

-Piano (I can play Final Fantasy VI's "Decisive Battle" at 1/8ths instead of 1/6ths, so that's a reasonable measure of how good I am, which is to say awful)
-Flute (Just beginning to learn it.)
-ANY INSTRUMENT EVER EXISTING OR NOT USING FL STUDIO (kidding, kidding, don't hate on me)

Guitar (predominantly acoustic), some bass, basic piano (poor with chords, good with melody/solo lines), used to know some drums. Hoping to learn violin or ukulele over the summer too, just gotta find a cheap used one I can pick up. Mostly I do digital composing these days, and hey what a perfect place to shamelessly plug my thread.

A little bit of electric guitar. Bass was too easy, so I decided to switch, wound up having to pawn my lovely bass for bills anyway, and now my cheapie guitar is sitting in storage.

NO, IT'S NOT A EUPHONIUM! It's a Baritone Horn, through and through. Euphonium players are pussies who can't play without the help of an extra valve. A real man learns his pedal tones and deals with it. Anyway, I love this instrument. Mine's a far older model with more wear, but it still sounds beautiful. I've been told that the Baritone Horn is the most similar in sound to a human voice of all wind instruments, but by virtue of its metal-ness, it has better pitch. Its range is almost exactly equal to the human voice, with the lower end being slightly lower than possible for humans.

I love playing this thing. Marches, jazz, you name it. It's so damn fun.

TROMBONE, BRO. Mine isn't this nice. Mine is all brass, ancient, and smelly. It was made 50 years ago and wasn't played for 20 until I excavated it and spent literally eight hours straight cleaning it. I got it for free, though.

At any given time I automatically assume every forumite is both a man and a woman unless noted otherwise. Sort of like Schrodinger's Gender.

I also should say that I "play" "guitar" but haven't in years, even though my brother has a high quality guitar just taking up space in his room.

My whole family is still encouraging him to pick it up again so that he has something productive to do other than watch videos all day long.

I like the sound an electric guitar makes better than the sound of a regular guitar, but not as much as the sound of a piano.
