Apparently my Hammerer noble thinks he's part of the fortress guard.  He's listed as the guy who is going to beatdown on some marksdwarves who've been getting rowdy  But I am getting spammed with messages that he's an invalid officer, and he doesn't seem to be in any hurry to prove them wrong.
